What's with all the bickering about the advice the OP was given?

It's a forum and everybody gave the advice they thought was appropriate.
Nobody forces anybody to ask for or take advice.

FWIW, I was one of the posters who suggested vodooelephant shouldn't jump to conclusions or make hasty decisons but I don't think that gives me the right to insist that people who saw the situation differently apologise.
The situation could have been as bad as some posters saw it - I'm just happy that it wasn't

    OK, back on topic:
    Vodooelephant
I'm so glad that things worked out for you both.
Work at your relationship and don't let things slide, it sounds like you have a good future together so my best wishes to you both.
And a big pat on the back for your OH for arranging the weekend.

There were several more than just Jackieglasgow who advised the OP poorly.
Many on first page had the hubby in a drunken fumble, a kiss, and he was adjudged to be embarrassed the next morning and regretting it.
Others were saying that deleted texts meant he must be guilty even though i gave a perfectly valid reason for deleting texts.

I just hope that all the posters who jumped to an inccorect conclusion do two things
1 - apologise for getting it so wrong by jumping to an incorrect conclusion
2 - never jump to conclusions again because next time it may not be on an internet forum and they could find themselves in a more awkward or difficult situation.

    Hi,

I am sure that most will not apologies - I also realise that JackieGlasgow was not the only one - I did point that out -just picked her post out.

I was just shocked at some of the comments from posters on - as far as they were concerned he was guilty & the quicker the OP left the better .... no wander the divorce rate in this country is so damned high in this country.

    Hi,

The issue for me was that the OP seemed to take a lot of what was said as true ... so got more & more upset by the situation ....

I don't see the point in anyone apologising ...

Voodooelephant, that's absolutely great, so pleased for you! You should think up something special for your OH in the next few months, keep the momentum going and 'treating' each other.

  • I am so pleased for you - I just read this from start to finish and I was hoping it would end like this.

My husband didn't bond as much with our little boy as he did with his older sister at first and I hated it - I felt like he loved one more than the other but it is so much better now and he loves them both more than anything so it will get better. Especially as your boys get older and able to do more with their dad x x

Pleased it ended happily too. I started reading this thread last night and finished today, was on tenterhooks last night hoping the £200 wasn't for 'her'.

Hope hubby/partner will keep on with the changes he's promised. :j

    Happy moneysaving all.
