ive had my galaxy s for 2 weeks, ive never had this lag people talk about but didnt stop me upgrading the firmware. im on jp3 and its brilliant. found out if you hold the back key then the home key it takes a screenshot. this is a great phone regards

I've not had the lag problem either and I'm on the original JF3 firmware. Oh, and to clarify for people....JP3 firmware is Froyo, aka Android 2.2

I will update my firmware when the official froyo update is out. CBA to mess with test firmwares right now. ;)

That's strange as JP3 was the Vodafone firmware version that I started out on as well. Have you ever had the screen stay black for around 3 seconds when executing apps or coming out of them? If not then I would normally assume that some of us have been sold faulty hand sets but because the firmware updates have improved this I'm not so sure now.
It's only rock 'n' roll, but I like it.

Samsung make the screens for both the Galaxy S and the HTC Desire, call me a cynic, but I find it rather strange that since the Galaxy S has been launched HTC have had problems getting stocks of the screen for the Desire. HTC will be switching the Desire's screen from the current Samsung AMOLED one to a Sony SLCD one.
I've given up trying to get my signature to work with the new rules, if nobody knows what the rules are what hope do we have?

    Samsung Galaxy S.

I have a Hero and would never buy a HTC phone again.

The customer support is horrible, and once a new model comes out, they forget about their old models. The 2.1 update for the Hero was pushed back several months while they worked on the Legend/Desire
