Interesting the amount of people who said takeaway! I can't be bothered ordering anything over the phone for delivery or going to get it, I'd rather just stick on some pasta.
Yeah, We only use 1 local Chinese takeaway that also do fish and chips (about 5 blocks away) and 1 Indian takeaway (delivery), but I rarely have enough cash in the house for take away/curry, and if I'm feeling lazy I can't be bothered to walk the 5 blocks for fish & chips or Chinese!
If it's just me who's hungry and not OH, I grab the bag of frozen broccoli & cauliflower out the freezer, cook and then add 1/3rd of a jar of Aldi's carbonara sauce -it's lush and even quicker (lower carbs for those who care) than pasta too! But if OH is hungry he has the pasta version (doesn't eat many veg)! :rolleyes:A waist is a terrible thing to mind.0 -
Oh! Just thought, also I enjoy scrambled egg cooked with a handful of frozen peppers and peas and mixed together with ketchup. Originally the idea was an omelette, but I have since proved that, while I can cook fancy cakes and posh dinners, omelettes are beyond my skill level.....0

Great thread! Mine is Tomato cous cous... chop up about 10 cherry tomatoes and cook them in a pan for 5 mins with olive oil, add cumin and corriander and some crushed garlic if you can be bothered. Prepare some cous cous( another 5 mins) and then stir it all together. I'd love to take the credit for this, but it's actually a Nigella classic!!!!
Alternatively cereal or something on toast if I'm in really lazy mood.
And along with a lot of you - takeaway is farrrr too much effort when you can't be bothered!!!!!!!Everything will be ok in the end, if everything's not ok then it's not the end0 -
Portion of mashed potaoes (smash or frozen), cheddar cheese, butter, salt & pepper. Used to have that at my Granny's house (but the potatoes were real, homegrown ones)." The greatest wealth is to live content with little."

THe kids like pasta and cheese. Just boil pasta and sprinkle with grated cheese.
Or baked potato (microwaved) with beans or cheese or tuna - or all 3!!
Or egg, chips and beans
Or instant noodles (kids again)
I will sometimes just have cereal
or scrambled egg(microwaved) on toast.
We will usually have a lazy tea once a week - it's usually cheaper too!Official DFW nerd - 282 'Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts'
