Mine is to nuke an 8-10p packet of curry noodles... then when they're nearly done toss in half a tin of garden peas or marrowfat peas for the last minute.

If I want a real lazy treat, then it's the noodles with half a tin of red kidney beans in chilli sauce chucked in.
  • I like my evening meal to look like a dinner - otherwise I feel cheated (and want to nibble later)!

A good quick standby is cheap frozen mash, value marrowfat peas (canned), value gravy (granules) [all microwaved!] and a couple of grilled quorn sausages! Mmm!

If I've got a bit more time, I fry an onion and add it to the gravy, which bucks it up a treat! Or I heat a couple of value frozen (ready cooked) yorkshire puds - heaven! :D

edit - grilling the puds for a short while on either side saves heating up the oven!

Noodles of any variety, cheap or pricey, with some microwaved frozen veg and any protein I can scare up out of the freezer or store cupboards - tinned fish, lamb mince, quorn chunks etc. Microwaved with a little water to keep them moist and any sauce or tomato puree I've got in.

    Fish fingers, mash and beans.
This is filling, easy and tbh not that unhealthy compared to some things.
My real cannot even be bothered opening the freezer one is a chippy tea, still to get a decent one we can be bothered driving 13 miles! Lol its a lush treat only allowed every so often!

Lazy meal is scrambled eggs, really lazy I do them in the microwave, either way just add a tomato and some lettuce and a meal fit for anyone.

spaghetti, grated cheese & tomato ketchup. All mixed up so that the hot pasta melts the cheese and the ketchup makes it all go pink. My mum used to give this to use when we were kids! Feels like a guilty pleasure these days when I normally cook a little better than this...

This is called lumberjack spaghetti in our house - with lea and perrins on it. My american dad used to make this for us when he had to cook as couldn't cook anything else when my mum was out!!!:rotfl: :rotfl: I do it too but my OH thinks it is gross although he loves ketchup!

our favourite can't be bothered tea is called Nicky Pasta (named after the person who shared it with us) Cook pasta with some chopped onion in the water with it, drain, add a tin of condensed tomato soup, a tin of tuna, mixed herbs and some grated cheese and warm through. Eat. If they're in the freezer you can add peas and/or sweetcorn. Not sure why, but we all agree it tastes better after a session in the canoes!!

It's a classic one that is a tradition for many guide camps as its a one pot job that can be easily scaled up to huge numbers!

Potato waffle butties! Must have salt and vinegar on, and they are like proper chip butties.
