Bacon sarnie - bacon in the micro for 4 minutes, slapped between bread with a smidge of brown sauce.

Oooh mine's spaghetti hoops on toast with poached egg on top served with lots of HP brown sauce. This is simple yet nutricious. I live by myself so I have many "can't be bothered teas".

  • I just discovered one. Get a curry flavour Pot Noodle - no, wait, it gets better - add a handful of Paxo apricot & walnut stuffing mix, then prepare as usual but with a bit extra water for the stuffing. Add a bit extra mango chutney too, stir it in well, and you'll never believe Pot Noodles can taste so good.
  • Every day I transfer some frozen veg to the fridge so the next day it is always handy.

In a largish egg mixing bowl add noodles, peas, sweetcorn, soya mince, curry paste and coconut. Add hot water to just below the height of the ingredients and cover with a side plate and clean dry tea towel. Allow to stand for about 6 to 8 minutes. Stir gently and add sultanas.

Optional leave out the coconut paste and sultanas and crack an egg in instead.

    Cheese and oregano on toast.
Naughty one: fried bread, and serve with sliced tomatoes and a bit of salt.
Lightly boiled savoy cabbage topped with grated mature cheddar and oregano and toast under grill.
  • Everything from a tin!
Salmon fishcakes - tinned salmon mixed with instant mash, herbs, egg then baked or fried
    Mushy peas
Tinned new potatoes fried in about teaspoon of olive oil.

    Surprisingly very tasty
