Do you find that the milk tastes different after being frozen?
I defrosted some semi-skimmed milk yesterday and when I had a drink of it it was sort of tasteless?!xxx Nikki xxx0 -

No, but do make sure you give it a shake before using it.The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
The only milk you can't freeze is whole milk. Always shake it when defrosted, it'll be fine.I Believe in saving money!!!:T

I gave it a good shake!! Maybe it was because it was colder than usual that it didn't seem to have much taste.xxx Nikki xxx0

Don't foget to leave a little more space than usual in the top of the plastic container to allow for expansion during freezing - an inch or so should do it.
I freeze both whole milk and semi skimmed and they are both fine, and initial shake after defrostin is a good idea but I'm used to that anyway from getting unhomogeonised organic milk when I can afford it.
I use a cheaper form of Milton to sterilise the plastic milk cartons after washing them so that I can use them again.0 -
