Guess who else is also planning jam for xmas hampers :):)

Me too, feel like a kid with a new toy.

It's our wedding anni on wed, and as he was so impressed with strawberry jam, I'm going to make in a min, apricot jam his fav, no expense spared where my hubby's concerned, especially as I'm now sandaless:rotfl:

Hope it's not difficult, have apricots now but no recipe, so off to the jam making thread:D

I actually have some nice wee jars... if you'd like a swap for your cuttings later in the year. I got them to put bath salts in.

Katholicos - I'm with you on the v. early C-present buying...DD is sorted now bar the "big present" all courtesy of sales/offers :)

I've got some plum hooch on the go and am eagerly awaiting the blackberries/sloes to make more. Slurp!
  • Apricot Jam is lovely with slivers of blanched almonds in annie!
and I can vouch for Sudocrem on dogs -my dog was nicked (bitten not stolen!) by another dog and the cream was great on the little cut
Mind you when she tried to lick off the sudocrem she did look strange with white on her mouth!!!! (as soon as she tasted it she stopped and healed nicely
May you fill up the great clutterbucket of life and may all of your leaks be in cheese sauce:D
Use it up, wear it out, make it do or do without:cool:

    My poor sandals_pale_
They've climbed fast running waterfalls, walked acrosss deserts, canoed down rapids, jungle trekkedd, only to end their lives in the back garden of south east London, a truly dangerous place!

    I'm taking this badly.

Need to get a grip, off to make jam..........

No almonds PCB but will remember that for next time;)

It's my wedding anniversary on Wednesday as well. Congratulations.

I'm now having a mini panic as my house looks like a jumble sale and I have guests on Wednesday. Not sure when I'll get it all done as little one is asleep now (she's an extremely light sleeper and I now put on a fan in her room so I can at least tidy downstairs!) and we're off swimming at 5pm and then have to pick up hubbie as my car as explained is in the garage. Tomorrow we're out and that just leaves the evening.:eek::eek:

Poor foxes must have a belly ache though. Perhaps that might console you? :)

housing benefit/council tax benefit. If you have a mortgage you are entitled to housing benefit, but they will only pay the interest not the actual balance.

v8monkeyboy i was like that too , hence why i have debt, my OH is still like that but he is slowly coming around.
    BMF thanks for the links!
Annie im sorry but i had to laugh about the sandals.

Well its been an expensive week so far, we ended up in travelling to Morecambe to get a campervan for our friends. It a a little beauty with 7 seats she's want to drive us all for a trip away :j. We then ended up in Manchester and absolutely mashed. Me trying to dance but failing miserably with crutch. So from Thursday to Sunday all we've done is drink as the boys are still away. Not good on the bank balance but in our defence (and to ease my conscience) its the first time me and OH have been away from our children since my eldest was born ten years ago. So its cheap city for the rest of this week/month.

But i now have a curtain rail for the bathroom so OH is going to pput that up for me. Picked about a margarine tub full of raspberries :) so were having omelette and apple crumble for tea tonight hmmm crumble.

Right going to get the bread out of machine, put another load in the wm and hang another lot out.
