off to work soon for short shift. DH back to work after a weeks holiday. He's looking for another job atm as his health cant cope with the unsociable hours of being a milkman.
My 2 DSs are off to the job centre.
have a great day all xDo what you love :happyhear0 -
Awh TL, I hope he can get something. It's horrible watching them toiling day after day in a job that isn't good for them, been there. xxx0

thanks Mardatha- he likes the job but it means he has to get up at 1.30am some days and he cant cope with it much longer - he's a walking medical miracle really but he wont give in - he really wants to work as long as he is able.
The job he is after is regular hours and indoors which should help a lot. xDo what you love :happyhear0 -
gailey - you made me laugh at the idea of you hiding cabbage in meals from hubby :rotfl:
Morning everyone. I have got an exciting (but probably expensive) few days coming up. I have got one my sisters visiting which is a big thing as we rarely seen each other as our holidays don't tend to coincide too much. We are going through to Glasgow to see Rod Stewart tonight. I won the tix and she is a huge fan, so a treat for her. Tomorrow we are off to Edinburgh for a spa afternoon. Using some spa vouchers I won earlier in the year for this treat. Lots of petrol train faires and two meals out, but trying not to think about that and just enjoy it anyway.
Up early as DD has work this week (thankfully). She is at college but does odd bits of supply for a local nursery in the hols. Then having a man to look at my boiler at 9am. Its very elderly. I bought the house eight years ago and neighbours were all replacing dying boilers. Have kept mine chugging along until last winter when the house didn't often get above 15 c (brrr) despite heating being on for ages and a big bill. I am really hoping he can do magic and get me another year out of it as I replaced the car in April and can't afford another big bill. My worst nightmare is that he condems it.
Hubbys moaning when he found out as although he couldent tell or taste the cabbage he says hes been windypops:rotfl:
Ahh wish I hadent discovered artistic bento lunches last nite its amazing I now want one but seems expensive hobby but packed lunch is quite money saving not sure hubby be too impressed with hello kitty sandwiches.
Looks like rain here sadly.1st day of summer holidays and eldest bored already, baby very grouchy as sister wont leave her alone.
Planning another cookoff today and need to deep clean, declutter downstairs and get soem washing done and bed sheets changed.
Such an exitintg life I lead.
Got tonnes saved on sky plus box but never any time to watch it.
Hope everyones ok today.

Trying to get to the end of the month without putting more fuel in the car, it's proving quite a challenge! I'm getting through a tank a month & really can't afford to put any more in. Once DS starts school my petrol bill should plummet as we live next door to the school
I bought him 2 pairs of school trousers in Sains.urys today for £4. Not bad as they have an adjustable waist, much needed for my tall but skinny son. Not sure if 2 pairs is enough but it's all they had today in his size.
I'm going to spend the day doing housework, cooking/backing, thankfully DS is rather pleased with that idea, I wonder if he'll find it housework as much fun when he's a teenager? LOL We'll go to the park this afternoon or out on the bikes, whatever we do for the rest of this month has to be free as the cash has dried up.0 -
Need to rant:
The foxes have eaten my sandals
They were clarks springers and really comfy:(
I can't afford another pair
They were 8 years old:o been to Thailand, India, USA, Mexico and Europe, they were well traveled sandals. Travels and sandals from the days when I had a job.
My own fault, trod in neighbour's cat poo last night putting rubbish out, so left them outside by the side door to clean today.
They must have really liked them, whole chunks of leather missing, oh well never mind.
On a positive note, I have some next gift vouchers, so will see if they have anything comfy but not chunky and that don't make my feet look like duck feet:eek: shoe size 7 and I'm only 5'4" on a good day.0 -
My god - you better watch they dont sue for upset tummies !0
-
annie - I guess the fox just couldn't resist all those nice niffy smells. If you don't have to pay an excess on your home insurance premium it might be worth seeing if your home contents insurance company will pay out for a new pair of sandals. And then your experience can appear on all those jokey emails which get circulating around the internet about weird and wonderful insurance claims :rotfl:0

Auntie's breakfast news this morning included a snippet about a shop that has already put its c-word stock on the shelves  I know I like to spread the cost, but this is getting ruddy-kulusss
The shop-keep was saying people like to buy tree ornaments to remind them of their summer holiday--good sales pitch I suppose :undecided --but I prefer the more traditional & contemporary danglies for my tree.
