Kidcat, so sorry to hear about your troubles, been there myself. It's very wearing just waiting and worrying. Take care of yourself and the little ones.

    Hi all

Just a quickie to tell you about my amazing new discovery!!! In the past (long distant past) I used to buy good night creams and serums for my face, more recently cheapy ones... However... I have now started using starflower capsules (the ones designed to swallow)... I bite one open, then use it on my face... Its better than any nightcream i ever bought, seems to get rid of fine lines AND its soooooooooo cheap... 60 capsules are under £3 in MrT so thats 60 nights worth which works out at 5p a day altho its so good I will prob only use it every other night making it 2.5p a day :D

Its natural, food grade, pure and brilliant!

I hope that helps someone to make a saving :)

(oh, and whats left on my hands, i rub in to my nails and cuticles so even better value - saves on cuticle and hand creams :D)

Frugal, thanks for that idea. I usually just use baby lotion but it isn't anywhere near enough these days. Have recently bought a small tub of Astral but have been thinking about oilatum. The reviews on Amazon are incredible and although it is expensive it is supposed to last for ages. Has anyone else used that? Think I will get some of the Starflower capsules first though as that would be cheaper.

  • Probably sound like a right dour n dumpy forty summat because half the time I can't even be bothered to apply a face cream. I brush my teeth and i wash my hair and wash and bathe regularly but now i let my hair go it's natural colour (mostly grey but looks blonde if you squint and are partially sighted) and my face goes unadorned. I just can't be bothered with the faff, but opening a capsule and spreading it on my face doesn;t seem too much like hard work so i mght try it, thanks for the tip!
