Oh Kidcat (((((hugs))))) Same happened to me some time back altho I found emails confirming hotel reservations . Am now on my own with two little ones and he didn't end up with her, someone else in the office had her.... Office BIKE springs to mind :D

Anyway, after a little period of revenge (his toothbrush cleaned our toilet, pepper in his underwear drawer, one laptop hurled at him out of the front door (subsequently didn't work), various horrors in his dinner) we all went our separate ways and now some other poor woman (with kids) has been unfortunate enough to fall for his BS and put a roof over his head. Hope she knows about his debts and compulsive lying problems altho I bet he told her that everything was my fault... just as he did with me when his ex wife threw him out before we met :rotfl::rotfl:

Take one day at a time. Sounds from your post that you have seen this coming so hopefully its not *too* much of a shock, altho of course will be a shock.

Do you have a close friend nearby who you can tell what has happened? Friends are crucial at times like these... and if not, you have us :j
I wish I had thought of all that when I split with my ex!:rotfl:

Kidcat, what a horrible situation. My thoughts are with you, hope you're ok x
Say what you mean.. mean what you say... without being mean.
  • Kitkat - When me and ex split up (wasn't due to playing around though) things had been rumbling along for quite a few years. When I eventually said we shuld split up, he couldn't get out of the house fast enough, think he had been making me as miserable as he could so that i would be the one to say it and therefore my responsiblity. I did feel and great deal of relief when he left, but it didn't stop all the bereavement you go through. Just take it one day at a time. x

If you dont mind me adding an oppinion here, I agree completely with HB.
As you know if you read my post directed towards annie56, I had a really bad break up a few yrs ago. It is like a bereavement and you are right, time heals.
I really wish you the best, no matter how this pans out with your OH.

kidcat sorry you're having a hard time at the moment. Take the time to do the best for you and your children, don't be pushed into anything.

parsonswife8 my brother has been a mechanic for almost 30 years and he says that nowadays you need to be a computer techician not a mechanic when it comes to cars. He loves it when he's got an old car to work on where you use your experience and skill to fix it.

  • Kidcat when I split with my first husband over his adultery ways I found out after suspecting thru finding the idiot had booked a hotel room for the two of them with the joint bank account card - he tried to deny even sat whilst I rang the bank and asked them to send me the transaction details. I suspected as he was a PE teacher but was spending too much time doing Dof E or extra curriculum stuff. We didnt have children, but your children will be happy if you are.

    Take care xxx

Kezlou - please can you tell me what chocolate concrete is???? It sounds like my idea of heaven!!!!

Am still waiting to hear how much the council will be reducing our ct by, they do take their time with these things! Also finally npower have admitted they owe me money - previously they were denying having had meter readings from our new supplier, they said they only received gas and we owed £86. In the end I had to get scottish power to email them and call them with proof of the leccy reading, they would not take the reading from me and would not chase up the other provider themselves, just kept sending me debt letters. Turns out the leccy was £91 in credit so ha ha ha to them I make a fiver!!!!!

Was very happy to get an email this week from amazon and the old car stereo we put on months ago had finally sold for £40! had completely forgotten about it thought it was a no hoper. Really like amazon for those things you are uncertain to sell you can just leave them sitting on there for ages.

As you can prob tell I'm feeling a little cheerier this week, I don't know why - it's cold, we're still skint and none of the bad stuff going on has changed but I'm going to make the most of feeling positive while I can!
    MFW 2015 so far..... £1808.70

kidcat - am so sorry to hear your news. I've been there (a few times, unfortunately :() Only you can decide what to do ultimately - neither decision is an easy one - both require hard work, determination & a mindset to look forward, not back. Massive (((hugs))) for you and the children x

kidcat ((((hugs))))i'm so sorry to what that scumbag has done to you. The children will be fine as long you are happy and content xxx

lambanana when we have the money he picks and chooses, my youngest loves the five counties cheese out of morrisons. My eldest love wensleydale with cranberries. But all of them go straight for French goats cheese. My lot have expensive tastes.
Great news regarding the job interviews!

Parsonswife - what a nightmare i hope you can find another computer for the car. Just hoping thats not the problem with ours,. Which is still in the garage arghhhhhhh Otherwise it will £500 + down the drain :(

Katie - chocolate concrete is like a brownie but harder on top.
    here's the recipe:-
    Chocolate concrete
    100g margarine
    2 eggs
    100g cocoa powder
    1 lb self raising flour
    100g sugar

melt the margarine and sugar and mix well till it goes syrupy
add flour and cocoa to the syrup on the pan mix well until its becomes stiff .
add two beaten eggs and gently mix them in until your mix softens.
place the mixture into the tray, press into the corners and flatten into the sides of the tin.
Please in the oven (gas mark 5)and leave for about 30-45 minutes. If the top feel hard take it out to cool. Cut up into slices as when its cool its quite hard to cut. It should be hard on top and moist in the middle.

Well the fishcakes are done and put straight into the freezer, including the milk which i used to cook the fish with.
I now have to pop to town to get my partners wallet, the numpty lost it on the bus earlier. Luckily it was handed in so i can pick it for him after i've picked the boys up form school. I swear he'd lose his head if it wasn't screwed on.

My thoughts are with everyone going through tough times at the moment.
It is amazing how much inner strength you can find when life knocks you off your feet.

One of our guinea pigs died yesterday evening. She was really quite yesterday and did not seem to want to move much so I made her a vet appointment for this morning. When dds came home from school yesterday they stroked her and talked to her but when we got back from guides in the evening she had sadly passed.
youngest dd has taken it quite hard. I am hoping lots of cuddles and engaging her in other things will help.

On a lighter note I am looking for some ideas for home made breakfast bars, something nutritional that oh can take with him in the morning.
I have made some oatmeal bars but need some sort of variety.
