Nite Annie - Think I will head up too... Read for a little bit and hopefully get a good nights sleep - I am looking really worn out atm and its not a good look!
  • Night Annie!

Pink - I have one of his books... not a huge fan though... I need detailed recipes... and PICTURES!

Just one picture... so I know what it looks like when it's done... so I know if I am doing mine right!

    I know... screw loose somewhere!

Nope, you are not alone - thats the reason I am not sleeping.. My OH isn't working late, he is working abroad :(:(:( Am feeling so lonely after the kids go to bed.

Not sure atm months, rather than weeks :(
  • ouch, months is bad, but not knowing exactly how long must be so hard... The most I've ever had to do was one month at a time away from OH and those were hard enough.

don't worry, we shall keep you entertained here :D

btw thanks for your signature, I've never thought of crocus as early source of pollen!

Agreed! but I have noticed that since losing my job, that cooking basic meals (stews, pies, soups) are more fun then new recipes...!

My problem is I self impose these rules:

    • No meal can be cooked twice in a 4 week period (it can be eaten as long as the leftover last)
    • I cannot cook with Chicken, Beef or Mince more then once a week for each!!
    • Tuesday is Fish night
    • Fish should be eaten 1-2 times a week... Omega 3 fish a must for one of them
So I trawl through my cook books for new ideas all the time... I love 'goodfood' and get a free subscription using tesco vouchers!

I can go 6 weeks without doubling up and cooking the same meal twice...!

I also find it hard to sleep when my Husband is away! But then the cats start getting clingy... and 1 starts purring... and he's so loud... you have no hope even if you tried to sleep!
