Thanks Primrose not going to work today has been lovely even if it has been mostly spent prepping for the interview. It's still better than being at my awful job!

I hope everyone has had a lovely Bank Holiday!

Good luck Lambabana, just do your best!:)

Welcome Kitcaboodle  lovely opening post :)

Best Wishes for Wednesday lambanana - you sound a bit like me. Interviews can make me feel physically sick and also work as an excellent laxative..............or is that just me? :rotfl:

As I've always told my daughters - you can only do your best. That's all anyone can ask of you.

Will be thinking of you come Wednesday. Is it a morning or afternoon interview?

  • Good luck for the interview Lambanana!

I'm currently cooking my soupy-stew. I always over-estimate how much I need to add of each ingredient and wind up with a huge batch. Just as well really that DH has a HUGE appetite!
  • Lambanana - Good Luck for wednesday. I havent had an interview since 1998 when left uni, stayed in that job till 5 years ago when I had the boys.

Had the 'big' month online shop delivered today - so much food, didnt realise how much when we got it weekly. Hopefully we will save some money guess we will know in 4 weeks time.

Boys been little so and so's they are so overtired, never slept well and still at age 3 and 5 dont sleep thru the night. Went to the park today as it was lovely out, probably good weather as some schools go ack on thursday!

Tesco charged us (£1.06) for a whiskas temtations treat which said free for internet shoppers. Sent an email and just had a phone call from tesco apologising, they dont think the shopper understood as had a message on my receipt saying that the coupon I gave them had experied - even though there was no coupon. impressed they responded within minutes of the email, but i felt terrible for kicking up a stink over £1.06!

I'm getting pretty much nothing done in the way of housework today and am ignoring the shirts hanging in the dining room where I'm sitting whilst I try to focus on preparing for my interview on Wednesday, the extra money from this job would make such a difference and it's a much better place to work generally than where I am but ARGH it's so hard trying to prepare and I'm just not confident as the competition for jobs is so tough at the moment, especially with the cuts as there are a few hundred people with similar skills and experience to me who were all made redundant recently. I suppose at least if I don't get it I do have a job, it just doesn't pay as well as I'd like it to and the management are dreadful.

All the best for your interview on Wednesday :)

I'm catching up on posts as my mum was visiting last week but wanted to reply to this when I saw it.

Really struggling today, well last few days

    felt cold all time
    cant get motivated to move
    dark and rainey outside.
Kids bored and make more mess.
cant even summon up energy to do much cooking which I enjoy doing
    feel very tired
keep sneezing -think maybe Im ill or school hols just pushed me over edge.

Weird how weather can effect mood.

Feel better when I do something , need to go round corner shop but anticipate another downpour.

Hubbys coming home bit earlier tonight so might go bed at 7with the baby.

Feel like I wasted last few days.

eldest does not seem to have any more spots and seems fine.
Babys so happy and noisy cant believe last week how far her walkings progressed now 10steps unaided.

    I have kitchen to clean
    bathroom
    tonnes of washing
    lounge
    bedrooms.

cook dinner think will do shepards pie did want to do mini quiches too.

Still not ready for winter need to make draft exluders and get new curtains in lounge pronto.
Tried explaining to landlord how curtains move in win on double glazed patio doors!

Even hubby said might have to put heating on tonight.

Gailey, I think you're run down. I've been reading your posts about what you've done each day and you're running yourself into the ground. You need to step back a little and give yourself some time. You've put a load of stuff in the freezer so now is the time to use it.
Also, the kids are on the last days of the holiday. Don't feel that you have to entertain them. Give DD something to play with or put a favourite dvd on and only deal with her if she starts picking on your babe. Also, don't invite other kids round.
  • Kitcaboodle - welcome! I don't post very often but this is one of my favourite places to "be" on OS. Lovely bunch of people.

Lambanana - good luck for your job interview - I will be thinking of you on wed!

Had a lovely weekend at my mum's celebrating her birthday and retirement. My contributions to the buffet table were pretty OS - potato salad (pink fir apple pots from the allotment :D), green bean vinaigrette salad (allotment again!!), chocolate cupcakes, mini muffins and twinks hobnobs. I was worried about taking this stuff to my mum's house as everyone else in the family has a lot more money than us. One rare occasion when my folks came to dinner and I had said I would do a roast, I ended up doing a slow cooker beef casserole instead due to cashflow and they were quite dissappointed! Anyway so I know I shouldn't worry about it but I always do... Anyway, everyone raved about the twinks hobnobs! So it just goes to show, doesn't it?!

Got back to the house this evening, absolutely exhausted and it's really quite cold. Need to dig out the kids warm pjs - I need to buy some for my dd1 but dd2 already has some from last winter which will still fit.
:D Skint but happy with my lovely family :D

    Hypnotherapy rocks :j

Well don't - I've "kicked up a stink" for a lot less than that - it's your money after all!

Its not a fuss thats your money - Mr T has enough already and you can make a meal for that!

    Lambanana good luck hunny.

hippeechiq yes interviews have the same effect on me, as did all the boring training meetings my charity used to have, I would plan my route with loo's. Once I was in the meetings I would quite happily stand up and do my piece but before nerves would wreck me. i think you have to be a little nervous to give you the adrenalin to perform your best.
