You poor girl, you are having a rough time of it. I hope everything works out for you and your family.:)
Has your grandmother had that non hodgkins lymphoma for long, if you don't mind me asking?
Thanks parsons.
Lol - what doesn't kill you makes you stronger and all that but Jesus sometimes you just need a break don't you! and think Im going to end up like the hulk at this bleeding rate!
My nan was diagnosed with it early this year. She has had a course of chemo and the white cell count and then injections to help boost it etc so no one can see her because her immune system is too low so contracting a cold could be bad etc. She has had two lumps removed though so is concious of the scars and has to have regular checks to make sure more upcoming lumps aren't cancerous. She's 71 this year surely she doesn't need this now!Time to find me again0 -
Some people on here seem to have it so tough, I feel bad when I moan about my stuff but I guess it's all relevant to yourself.
At least we have somewhere to share our good and bad luck stories and of course, most importantly to share all our OS MS ways.
That's what keeps me reading and posting on here.
Sending good vibes to all of you who need them and to those who don't.There is no issue so small that it can't be blown out of proportion0 -

I know what you mean Sammy. Just when you think that nothing else can go wrong, it does.
Sorry for asking and thanks for replying. I have something similar to your nan, but no lumps, it is my skin.:eek:Felines are my favourite

Sammy, my mum had non hodgekins lymphoma 25 years ago and is still here:D
She has since had breast cancer twice. She has just finished her treatment for the latest. She is 74!
I'm sure she will make it through, it's amazing what can be done these days x:)Do more of what makes you happy:)0 -
Orlando, my OH & I both love Disney, we're gong with my prents & bros & sis, they very kindly paid for the villa so all we had to buy was our plane tickets & spends & most of the plane tickets were paid for with wedding gifts, so looking frwd to it, it's been a tough year trying to pay everything off by Jan '10 so we can try for a little rugrat!
You lucky lot, I have been to Florida Disney many times years ago. Went to Disneyland Paris early in the year and it just doesnt come near! Still, the stepkids didnt have Florida to compare it too so they thought it was brilliant.Loved our trip to the West Coast USA. Death Valley is the place to go!0 -
I've never shopped at lidls, there isnt one near to me but I did happen to pass one a month ago and thought I'd take a look. I was really surprised at the prices, not cheap at all. Now I've used my £5 off Morrisons vouchers I'm going to give Asda a try and get some more from Farmfoods. I've been stockpiling coffee (Kenco) while its been on offer at Morrisons. 2 for £4. In asda it was £3 for 200g so got one from there also. I'm running out of space to put my stockpile I've accumulated.
Aldis did have their flour for 24p, cheapest at Morrisons is 45p. I seem to be shocked on every shopping trip, as to how much more expensive it can be in 1 supermarket than anotherLoved our trip to the West Coast USA. Death Valley is the place to go!0 -
Sammy the art of feeding a baby and typing is a unique one isnt it and one I know well. Thats why my spellings always all over the place as my son loves to add his two-pennith to my posts
I really do hope things look brighter for you real soon and do keep coming back to tell us how you and yours are doingMad Mum to 3 wonderful children, 2 foster kittens and 2 big fat cats that never made it to a new home!
Aiming to loose 56 pounds this year. Total to date 44.5 pounds 12.5 to go. Slimming World Rocks!0 -
Hiya again Sammy-Kaye
Congrats on the new baby - and I see you are well into "taking on the troubles of the world" (at any rate your own family) still.
Hope things get sorted out soon in your "neck of the woods" and you can get a bit of well-deserved rest.
You've got a LOT of reading to catch up if you read all through this thread so far - over 100,000 views so far!
I'm anticipating running this "leg" of the thread until 22 October - and then starting on the next installment - so it could get a good bit longer yet....:D
Reason for thinking 22 October - thats when we get to hear the details of the Coalition Government's planned cuts - and we'll be into a different ballgame again then....
Does that meet with approval? - ie to keep this "installment" going till then and start in on the next one on 22 October - ie when people have had a chance to take a look at the package of Cuts and figure out what the impact on them personally is likely to be.0 -

That sounds like a good idea to me. I think a lot of us will be needing help, encouragement and advice, no matter how sensible or thrifty we feel we are.
Sorry about my moaning earlier- in light of more recent posts I feel ashamed for the muttering about house buy. Just want our family able to "batten down the hatches" as soon as possible."This site is addictive!"
