kezlou, I can so sympathise, my bedroom has become a dumping ground for years now, both at the last house and now here too. Its been really getting me down these last few weeks so last night I decided to tackle a small area and was really pleased with the results. Have done some more today and dad has called to say he has been given two wardrobes that will match my existing furniture so i can finally get rid of the old wardrobe DH uses and hanging rail that I have been using since the great mould incident when we moved in here. Will make the bedroom look much more co-ordinated and tidy I think anyway!!

As for incapacity and DLA etc, I have been told i should be claiming DLA for DS 6- he is considered to be ASD and takes 24 hour care, he is extraordinarily clever, but incredibly difficult to handle. Left him with DH for an hour while I shopped a few days back and cae back to find pandemonium had broken out as he had opened DS12 bedroom window and was sitting dangling out of the window, luckily a passer by had noticed and had almost put our window in to get DH attention (he was in back garden sorting previous disaster from DS6 ). These are not just daily occurences they are hourly occurences and much more. Yet the idea of having to visit numerous doctors and all the stress of trying to explain his needs puts me off applying. I kept a diary of all his exploits for the school psychologist a few months back and she said that he did genuinely require full 24 hr care and that she would happily sign anything she needed, but she has spent time with him and knows him. Whether a docor who has no real understanding of ASD and has never met him would agree is unlikely.

I'm just pleased that i'm finally getting rid of junk, with the kids assistance. Just need to really declutter our room. Its just we have no storage space so our room, is a workshop/garage/junk room/bedroom you name it its in there. So i'm going to have a go at that in a bit.

Thanks for that grumpycupple i'm going to need it all the luck i can get. Right now i don't have any, just saw another bill come through the door.:(.

Dont you just get so sick of the only luck you seem to get is bad luck.:kisses3:

I'm ignoring the decluttering, even denying that it needs to be done and clinging to all of my precious "things" that I have no use for...oops! I really do need to do a clear out. I got rid of 4 bags of clothes a few months ago and yet my wardrobe doesn't seem any less full.

It's not too chilly here today but not warm considering it's supposed to be the summer!

  • Had an incentive to de clutter because a Shelter bag came through the door.

I have to be sneaky because MPH hates to part with anything. "It might come in handy" :rotfl:

However he see's that we need the use of a cupboard for stocking up for the winter so I can clear that one out. He has also got excited about making fruit flavoured vodka and brandy so we are going brambling tomorrow. :D Could I use apples for flavouring?

I envy all those decluttering. My house needs several large tips to get rid of the junk. My OH is a horder and I have to subtly get rid of stuff when he's not around. He however has sussed what I'm doing and goes through any rubbish that I throw out. I now go to the tip or take all to a charity shop.

On a more positive note I do have about 5 boxes worth of stuff to put on ebay. Got through one box today. :j My way of slowly decluttering.

I have also put on four loads of washing today but still need to put all that away.

Its such a relief to not be alone any more, my Dh is also a secret hoarder and wont throw anything away, he has been known to be sent to the tip and then for all the items to reappear several months later from the depths of the garage. I now either take it myself or get someone else to take it for me, my dad was so cross when we moved cos he kept putting stuff onto the tip load and then it would reappear the next day, if it hadnt been so tiring it would have been funny I suppose. :)

Is cold - rain and wind here Ginny.I am not a hoarder, I am a thrower-outer. I would live happily with a laptop a kettle, a sofa and nothing else !
