Will have to repaint the whole house thanks to his little artistic escapades.

Try plain white toothpaste on one of the smaller marks and scrub lightly with an old toothbrush. Don't use a gel toothpaste, just a common and garden white one.

    I hope it works.

15 is a dreadful age. If your children are in that category, lots of sympathy. Mostly they turn into nice 20 somethings though!

Not always lilac lady - my 23 year old daughter seems to have become stuck at 15! :)

Mum's the same, but likes MrS taste the difference. She likes the chipolatas but has also had the full sized sausages & gets a few packs when they're on offer.

Of course Im sure theres a job out there for someone in constant pain, ....Maybe Prime minister? or head of the benefits department.
First of all, what Hippee said :o
No2 Offspring has three damaged lumbar discs & being under 40, the specialist won't operate as there's as much chance of making it worse as there is in any improvement. On a good day, it's only double strength ibuprofen every two hours & able to climb the stairs using one handrail, otherwise it's the tablets that have horrendous side effects verging from hallucination to stomach irritation [IYKWIM _pale_] to blurred vision so watching tv is not an option. The DSS medical in October said 'fit for work'; we contested, as the doctor doing the interview had clearly written 'limited mobility' & 'constant pain' in his report & in Feb this year a letter came saying we didn't have to worry about sending medical certs any more. Then--this lot get into power [I almost said voted in but that's not exactly true is it ] & lo & behold, a form falls on the mat & we've to go through it all again :wall:
Our assessment centre is a 50 min drive away & the nearest parking would take a healthy person 10 mins walk, but it is also UP a very steep hill..& how on earth wheelchair users get in, is a mystery :(

As for a chain for DGS dummy, I used to put a long loop of ribbon or bias binding--that sort of thing--around rattles & pram toys, then loop the other end through the struts for the rain hood. Saved an awful lot of picking up & washing, & meant we never lost whatever was the
favoured comforter of the time while on our travels ;)

Seeing your tip about toothpaste PW, reminded me of Kim & Aggie using hairspray &/or mayonnaise to clean off stickers, lipstick, chewing gum..all manner of things..from walls & paintwork.

MPH has four discs that have degenarated and could not be operated on due to where the damage was.Combine this with arthritis and tinitus he really struggles some days. Luckily we dont have to do any assessments any more due to us being retired .

Has your OS tried any other meds? MPH couldn't take ibuprofen either. He is on co codamol and a tramadol of mine when the pain gets too much.

About a year ago I had to start taking statins and had really bad side effects with muscle pain so I got an appointment with the docs to see if I could at least lower the dosage but as my regular gp wasn't there I saw what I call "the twelve year old" she gave me another sort that made me so unwell I documented what happened to me. This resulted in me stopping all the statins. My own gp then put me on a lower dosage of the original meds but it took at least six months of pain until I felt reasonable again.

    rant over lol
Then God looked over all he had made, and said, "I can see idiots from my house".

    .

I can't tell you how angry reading that has made me.
That is an absolute and utter disgrace

I don't know how such Doctors - and I use the term in the loosest possible sense - can live with themselves, and one can only hope that they find themselves in a similar situation at some stage in their own lives, and are met with the same indifference.

It's a dirty job and someone's got to do it? - no, you don't actually. There are some things money can't buy, and no amount of money is worth a job where you deem people that are clearly ill in body or mind as fit for work just because the government tells you to.

BigMummaF Your sons situation is a disgrace too hun :grouphug: and sadly, I don't know what the answer is, as this "new" government has well and truly got the bit between it's teeth.

I feel so for all of you, life is not all that much better really for the ordinary working people since Victoria was on the throne!
I had no idea of the kind of things that go on, until I got ill. I always thought this country was fair and decent. But then I met the DHSS... !!
Govt dont care about the people. The new lot of politicians go through college or uni, then right into politics. The hardest thing they ever do is lift a heavy pen. They have no sense of injustice or vocation whatsoever, they're in it for themselves. Then you get the people like those in the Discussion or Home Buyers forums on here who think dole should be stopped/IB should be stopped/HB should be stopped..and unions should be shot.
Well add those two sorts of people into the pot and stir it. The eejits vote for the party that does away with all our freedoms and rights, unions are squashed and strikes made illegal. Then they start cutting hours, cutting wages, imposing stricter conditions on renting houses, etc etc. And within a few years we will be right back where our great great grandparents were.. living on bread & dripping and minding our place.
I think people should do what we're all doing, like Ginny is. Just do your utter best to keep head above water, grow veg, spend very carefully, dont get taken in by any smarmy patter. It is a war, really, to me, it is.
Gawd it seems to be a day for rants eh !:D

I completely agree Maradatha, it is a war. I constantly shake my head in disbelief at my work colleagues and the way they deal with money. If they deal with their own money the way they deal with the University's money, then their bank accounts must be in a real mess. I have lost count of the number of times that I have had to stand up in front of professors and deans and very highly qualified professional people and explained in words of one syllable what happens if they spend more than the income we get in. And they all look baffled. *sigh*

I have tried everything  some walls are chalky emultion which just cant take a decent scrub so thats ruined, some is gloss and now has a purply hue and can still see the drawings.

I have admitted defeat, gave the lecture about how much paint costs and hope that will be the end of it.

I really couldnt care less if he drew on things that actually belonged to us like the dining table, chairs, bed frames, wardrobes etc etc but as we are paying to live in someone else's house the walls are out of bounds. If it was my own house I wouldn't of minded either because I have the power to choose how to decorate it and not have to worry about blinking inspections

I'm sorry it didn't work. I've had the artwork from both my own children when they were small. If it's emulsion paint then you probably didn't have much chance of removing the scribble.
