I think I added an extra mile on today to make it approx 7miles today. It went really well at a steady pace. Very pleased!

You are doing so well fedupandskint.

I've stil been suffering with my colds so not much has been done. Was up in North Wales for the Xmas/New Year's period but only managed one proper walk. Hoping to start exercising soon.

    Me again!

Last run was 6.5miles according to google maps so I extended todays to 7miles. Very ploddy and stodgy run but I did it! Now that is the longest I have run and I could definately feel it on the way back. I ran like I did last year when I could barely pick my feet up. I'm pretty sure the strength will kick in at some point, it'd better do anyway!

Think I need a day off tomorrow with how I feel now - tired!

40 min run today which was ok, very tired legs yesterday from the longer run - all of a sudden that 13 miles looks a long way off!

Are you doing a half mara fedupandskint? Sorry, been off so long can't remember. When and where if you are?

I am indeed doing a half mara (Leeds)- my very first one and the thing that I've wanted to do ever since I got to the 6miles distance a year ago and then thought 'let's go for it!'

If I don't do it, its ok and if I do I'll look like this :D

I just wanted to challenge myself with something I really enjoy doing and here I am on my way there to meeting the challenge. I'm up to 7.3miles ans I'm aiming to repeat this at the weekend then its onto 8miles

It's all new territory for me now but strangely enjoyably perverse now I have a goal in mind!

Anyway I attempted a hard run at 180bpm which I could barely keep up with the beat, oh well, at least it was an hour!

Happy running everyone when you get out there in the fresh air :j

  • I have been madly immersing myself in studying to try and get an assignment finished and have finally done it :D So am now going to have a nice cup of tea and look up those podcast thingies that you were on about a few weeks ago fedupandskint. I am then going to get off my 'slowly spreading through extreme lack of exercise' backside and go *outside* for a run. Yes I said *outside* ;) And if I haven't done it by next time I am on here, feel free to give me a kick!!!

I'm sure you will complete your half no problem at all fedupandskint :D

You'll be absolutely fine fedupandskint! You're putting the work in and that's all you need. When is Leeds half?

Sometimes you need to prioritise work/studying LittleMissHappy. Just don't take too long to come back to the thread ;) just go and do that run outside!

I'll be going for a run this week but not sure which day yet, might leave it till the weekend. Also on the plan are swimming and Shred. I'm going to slowly get back into exercise as I have plans for this year too.

The only definite one (though I haven't booked and paid for it yet) is my first sprint triathlon at the end of May. I'm also tempted by an offer to do Bristol 10k (May) and half mara (Sept) for £40 for both. Need to make a decision soon.
