I have read this thread and am pleased that you are climbing out of this emotional pit.
I have been feeling pretty muh the same lately:
• miserable,
• 32 years old, loads of grey hear and wrinkles
• paying off debts
• constantly poor
• 2 kids
• full time work and a part time job
• housework
• never ending DYI bathroom, central heating etc projects my OH started nearly, er…..6 years ago
• no friends (left)
• no dress sense at all!
I find it extremely difficult to stay focussed when I am feeling down, but I found that the best FREE cure in a situation like this (for me) is either sleep or spending some time outdoors (preferable by myself).
We took an allotment a few months ago. What a joy to hear birds not cars, dig and plan for potatoes and strawberries!
Jam making is not completely free, but also tends to cheer me up a lot. Every time I make a few jars I feel like a proud squirrel stashing nuts for the coming winter.
I don’t know what your budget is, but I got a lovely pair of shoes for £25 reduced from £79. I had a £19 credit note for this catalogue, so effectively I only paid £6.

I hope this helps and apologise for high-jacking your thread.
Keep your chin up!

I just wanted to say you should put yourself down you sound great to me. I am 34 been grey since 20 - who gives a hoot. You can colour it. Deal with one DIY job at a time. You dealing with your money issues. You can make friends easily just speak to people anyway be mega friendly - not too full on or people might think your weird lol. And your new friends could help you with your dress sense which I am sure is not so bad. In relation to the rest, your kids wont be kids forever, you wont have to do two jobs for ever. you wont be in debt and poor forever if you are careful. All my views are just that and do not constitute legal advice in any way, shape or form.£2.00 savers club - £20.00 saved and banked (got a £2.00 pig and not counted the rest)Joined Store Cupboard Challenge]0 -

Secret Spa Recipe
Paraffin Wax Treatment
The most exclusive spas charge top dollar for this foot-loving paraffin wax treatment.
1. Melt 4 bars of parrafin wax (available at grocery and hardware stores) in the microwave oven.0 -

I am reliably informed you can buy some from here http://www.baldwins.co.uk/ though apparently you can get it from a number of chemists!
I could make it better myself at home. All I need is a small aubergine...
I moved to Liverpool for a better life.
And goodness, it's turned out to be better and busier!0 -
I know there are tonnes of threads about various beauty etc things to do OS style - but looking at threads it seems I'm not the only one who's ben feeling under the weather and down this week so I thought we could do with some cheering up
Tonight I've got dog agility and will probably end up wet and cold if this weather carries onSo when I get home I want to just put my feet up and enjoy myself. I have one last frozen meal of beef casserole which I intend to enjoy with HM bread. I might then pour a glass of baileys and potter up to my bath room and just pamper
Starting with a good facial cleanse and possibly a honey and oat face mask/scrub. Then a hot steamy bath with lavender oil and ylang ylang oil, maybe some sea salt and bicarb of soda (soft skin).
Once I get out of the bath I'll steal (borrow) my mans "mousturising socks" :rotfl: (the kleeneze ones) and apply lots of mousturiser to my little piggies and curl up to watch my Tesco DVD rental copy of the Longest yard or whatever its called
This may include an extra glass of baileys
Anyone else going to join in with this "midweek pamper" to cheer us all up?DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!
