We just started our DMP with the CCCS about 2 weeks ago I guess we are the same stage as you are, I feel terrible just like a failure but at least we have faced our debts I know the waiting around for creditors to contact you is awful, keep going we will get there in the end!0

Hi Sophiesgran, we are all feeling much the same way at the moment but let's hope that we look back on this period in our lives and realise that it is for the best and I have to say that this forum is really helping me to get through these early stages
Good Luck xx:)Debt Free 1st March 2017

Hi
So creditors have all been written to with an offer dosnt look very much for some. Oh well cant have what I havnt got.
First payment to CCCS 1/08/10 for £169 as appose to £600 that I was paying so should free up som cash for summer holidays and hopefully give kids a better time this year.
The phone calls have started especially from Vanquis on horrible lady and one really nice one bit fed up with quoting ref no and saying "speak to CCCS" but thats all I can say at the moment.
Getting jumpy when phone rings I hope this feeling passes and I can feel stonger to deal with them.
Husband still not on bored keeps giving me lectures which is not helping so feeling alone at the moment. I really could do with his support I guess he is still feeling let down by me. I have stopped feeling guilty and feel plesaed that I am doing something positive and hopefully things will get better.
Bye for Now not quite so positive Jackie0 -
Hi Jackie, remember that you have done the hard bit by facing up to this and once the horrible phone calls stop then things should get better.:)
I know the feeling with the positive bit, mines waivering too:o I opened a cashminder account today and just wanted to burst into tears when the manager was asking questions about DMP etc.
I've got 2 token payments to send, each for £1 - one payment should be £90 and the other £120
I also did a quick calculation of the amount that I have paid to CC's since Feb this year and it came to £5798 but my debt only came down by £1896 - this has certainly made me glad that I'm going for a DMP
My OH has been o.k. recently but as time goes on I know that he will get fed up of having to budget and when that happens this will all be my fault but I've got a plan for when that happens and that will be to throw a "deaf 'un" - let it go in one ear and out the other, then carry on with what you are doing:rotfl:
Just hang on in there Jackie!! IT WILL BE OK:)Debt Free 1st March 2017

If after repeating ad naseum to peope who phone that you are with CCCS and quoting your reference number and allowing them a little time to update their computer send them the ' I will only communicate by letter' letter that's on here somewhere. If they ignore that you can report them to the authoritites.
I'm sure someone will post it up if you need it.
