Hi Jackie
Sorry to here OH is still a pain mine as I said before is very up and down but I have full control of money even though I ran up huge debts but I have learnt my lesson and I am so carefull with the money because I think deep down he knows he would be no better than me(my old self)at handling the money.
Im still job hunting the kids are back at school at last and Im saving up to buy them winter coats last winter I would have bought them on my CC but not anymore and you know what I feel good about myself and Im not scared of him finding out its done now he does moan sometimes but I am going to do this and get out of debt Money worries are sortable most posters would agree so I hope your OH comes to realise what you are doing0 -
Hi Ellie?winner12
Yes Aqua are a pain I knew it wouldnt be plain sailing rang CCCS today going to send out another letter to them, just going to ignore it at moment.
Yes hubby still being a pain I told him he has to take some of the responsibility for financial stuff and he didnt like that very much.
I too am job hunting just need to earn a bit more I do some Invigilating at local Secondary school where my kids go so I have that to fall back on and its quite good money. I too would have bought kids stuff on Credit its good to know that whatever I buy wont be getting me further into debt, starting to save for xmas now.
Hope you both have a good debt buster day Jackiexx0 -
Good luck with the job hunting Jackie & Winner, I think that there are jobs out there but you just have to search a bit to find them;)
I'm glad that CCCS are going to help you with Aqua, that takes some of the stress out of your situation I suppose.
Take care

:jHi Everyone
Not much to report Septemebr has been quite tough for me havnt been paid for 5 weeks hard to make the money stretch that far payday Thursday.
One letter from Next after agrreing to reduced payments and interest freeze threatining with DCA bit confused as thought this creditor was ok so rang and told me that the CCCS had paid them too late so have taken me off plan, which is a load of rubbish, but have now agreed to put me back on, they dont want to make things easy.
Aqua have piled on more interest and havnt taken any notice of letters, have just filed it away and hopefully will agree soon. Everyone else has been ok no letters of phone calls.
Just plodding along with life trying to find new ways to budget hoepfully October will be better for me.
Bye for now Jackie:eek:0 -
Hi Jackie,
It's confusing isn't it? You get one letter saying one thing then another saying something else. When I spoke to CCCS they said just to file everything away so you are doing the right thing.
Let's hope that October is better for you:)
Life seems to be getting back to normal apart from the CC's which is no bad thing even though it is tough sticking to a budget
Take care

Hi Jackie
September has been a pain of a month for me too luckily my mum gave me the money to buy the kids winter coats so my savings have been added to the emergency pot had a woh is me conversation with OH I have not found a job yet still looking applied for loads he has so he said had it all upto here I pointed out its not just about him though so will see how it goes MBNA have passed me onto Wescot so sticking to my guns with them and renegotiating Monument have come up with a inovative solution to my debt apparently posted on here to see if anyone knew what they were on about its a 0% transfer for life but if you use your card its a whopping interest rate so its a solution I suppose will cut up card when it arrives.
Still fighting with Crapital One (nabbed this phrase from another poster)got someone else investigating my complaint so it maybe long and drawn out hope its a better October for all and take care0 -
Hi Winner 12
No luck with another job for me either bit limited to what I can do with kids ages. I too hate crapital one only have a very small balance with them and have asked them to change my payment date with them but they wouldnt.
No its not just about him, my husband is still making me suffer asked him for some money the other day and got really narked with me it wasnt like I was going down the betting shop, it was for food for all of us which he eats.
Second payment gone out to Creditors good to see some of the balances coming down. apart from Aqua the balance is getting bigger.
Hope all goes weel for you keep fighting your corner things can only get better hopefully
take care Jackiexxx0 -
I just have to say Well Done to you Jackie!! You have managed to get through September without your credit cards which has been tough but just keep telling yourself that you did it!! What a great achievement, you managed to sort your kids uniform, pay all of your bills, put up with your awkward bloke and battle through the phone calls and letters so give yourself a pat on the back:)
Here's to October being easier:)
Take care
