  • For information,

I would jump over to this thread on av forums.

only 176 pages!!!!!!! but you can ask any questions there.

I do not have one of these tv's (yet)

    bye
  • Don't know if this has been mentioned, but Woolworths are now out of black TVs and only have silver ones coming into stock.

They tend to come in at blocks of 500 at a time, and the last time this happened (last week) they were sold out within 7 minutes.

Woolies have struck quite a goldmine with these TVs, they are making £30 a TV so my manager informed me!

Any other questions, ask away, I work at Woolies lol.
  • Guys and Gals,

I'm really sorry for posting this question instead of trying to find the answer by reading through the past 32 pages (I've read through most) but can anyone tell me what's the latest with the best value LCD television in this £400-600 range???

I know I'm invading this post with a request for advice but it seems very unlikely that I've got any chance of picking up one of these Technosonic 32" in the next month or two.

PLUS, no body seems to be talking about the RELISYS 32" LCD which seems to have replaced the Technosonic as the TV of joice at Woolworths online.

At only £50 more, I wonder if this is a better or worse machine than the Technosonic and I've also heard a few people talking about a Crown model.

I'm in no rush to get a new TV so perhaps waiting until the post Christmas/New Years sales is the way to go.

Anyway, I'd appreciate thoughts on the pros/cons of the Relisys over the Technosonic.

    cheers
  • I was tempted by this TV, but when I saw it in action in store I wasn't even remotely impressed.
The picture, quite frankly looked appalling.
Maybe it was because they were sourcing all the TVs from one DVD player or something, but it looked worse than my standard TV at home.

    SurfBowlSC,

I have one of these tellys, and I am well chuffed with it.

Remember, as the old saying goes 'garbage in, garbage out'.

These devices are not magic, if you put a crap TV signal in, the screen display will also be crap.

And yes, watching through Sky+, some older programmes are little grainy.

But anyone who has watched Planet Earth on BBC 1 will vouch it's absolutley breathtaking!

Dont blame the TV, its the signal that's giving the crap picture.

Markee, so I trust you are talking about the RELISYS tv??? If so, can you details what you do and don't like about this machine - what works best (like planet earth) and what looks poor?

keen to get some detailed opinions about the Relisys cause a few problems seem to be cropping up for people who have rushed out and bought the Technosonic.

No, actually I am talking about the Woolworths Technosonic TV.

As you didn't say in your post exactly which TV you were talking about, and as this thread is about the Woolworths Technosonic, I assumed you were talking about that.

So, to clarify, my comments are about the Technosonic NOT the Realsys - I haven't even seen the Realsys as my local Woolies has not had it on display.

Had no problems with the Technosonic.

    Hope this helps

  • Had my name down for a while at my local woolies in Hinckley( not a very large shop so didn't really expect a call.)
They had some coming into stock the silver techsoinc at £399 and did i want to purchase. Of course i said yes and it will be in the store for me to collect on the 1st of December. Can't wait now i have no where for the television to go, think i may need to purchase some wall brackets and place it on my fireplace? does anyone know where i can get some wall brackets which don't cost as much as the television.
    thanks

Was this on friday between 5pm-5.20pm? Woolies had 840 in the warehouse, all went in orders in 20 minutes! If you really want one of these TVs, ask in store on the entertainment desk, they will take your contact details and call you as soon as they are available to order, its a race to the finish though!
