Forget 1080p/1080i - although Xbox 360 displays 1080i (not 1080p) 720p is best quality picture (IMHO) - I would think because it matches native res of panel.

I connected my laptop to the tele today (woolies one)
fantastic, cant wait now to get some games on and play them
as laptop has wireless, I was surfing the net and watching on the 32"
Im impressed!!! Did wide screen view and no problems whatsoever, very good pics

Try downloading the WMP HD trailers from microsoft.com, then play them on your laptop through your tele. This is what HD is all about... :j

I managed to get one but the picture quality isn't as good as one i bought a few months earlier. The picture is not as sharp. not bad for the oney though i spose

anyone thinking of getting the tesco technika wall bracket at 19.99 think again.
I got one and found that the bracket was not wide enough to accept this tv, however if you get 2 brackets then you can fix it. (bit expensive tho')

I have been skimming through this interesting thread and the other one on avforums (170 pages!!) Therefore, I have a few questions that I hope you can answer, based on your experiences of the situation.

1) What are the chances of being able to order and maybe even (draws breath) obtain one of these bargain price tv's?
1.1)Average waiting times for a pre-ordered tv internet or store purchased?
2)For those of you who actually have one.... are they behaving okay?
3)Any failures/consecutive total failures which meant returning back to the store?
4) Any quality control issues, not including rebadged labels falling off :rolleyes: ?)
5) Is the remote control likely to disintegrate quite quickly/buttons break?
6)Menu system intuitive or, more likely, a challenge?

EDIT
7) Does the HDMI interface specification allow for uni-directional or must it legally be bi-directional without compromise? I ask this because I wonder if the techsonic has either HDMI in or out only? /EDIT

We also got this bracket, but instead of buying two we cut the back plate in half and mounted it easily. A little bit more measuring required but quite easy
