Thankyou Penny, it really has cheered me up :D I think I will use £20 for the overspends, £43 to clear the Next account and the remainder into the car maintenance account. The service and mot is due in July and I think it might be a biggie this year, so best to save as much as I can there. Unfortunately the mortgage pot is having to take a bit of a back seat at the moment, but its sensible to clear bits that need clearing first.

So far tonight, other than winning £80, I have put on one load of washing, cleared the kitchen, cleaned the kitchen floor, emptied and refilled the dishwasher, put the dry washing away / ironing pile, and got the dinner.

The rest of tonight involves a bath, finishing the ironing and a bit of a clear up in the lounge yet again :)

£499 moved out of the mortgage pot and actually paid off the mortgage instead :) I haven't made an overpayment for a while, am a bit reluctant to while I'm not getting any maintenance, but I decided that this month I would just do it :D

Saw the pastoral worker at ds school today and she said she has referred ds on to someone or other (not sure of their position, some kind of primary health worker I think), and they will decide whether to pass him on to cahms :o:o I know I should be pleased that something is happening to help but I can't help feeling disappointed / a failure :( I just want ds to be happy and to be normal like all the other kids :o I am exhausted with his behaviour, its so unpredictable, one minute he's good as gold, next he's off the wall, I walk on eggshells half the time, can't predict what will trigger it and am continually embarrased by or apologising for his behaviour :(

Other than that ... we went for a walk / cycle down the beach again tonight, was lovely down there again tonight. Spends today = £3.50 in tesco express. Oh, and I think I might cancel ww tonight, I am paying £20 a month and my mind just isn't in it right now :o

I know it's easy for me to say, but try not to feel a failure with regard to ds...you know full well that it's through no fault of yours why he behaves the way he does. You do sooo much with him, lovely activities and experiences that will be giving him a secure and happy upbringing that he'll remember:o

Of course we all want our children to be 'normal' and just fit in with their peers, but I guess we have to just get on with what problems/challenges they give us:D

And it's not just your little chap that's exausting...they all are, especially when you're on your own. Hard not to blame yourslef isn't it...I know I do it:( I'd love someone to share the hard work so I'm not sat here on my own like billy no mates, brooding over another clash with a daughter...but, its not that way;)

And the good bits are all down to us of course:T

Thankyou Pixie, I think I'm just having a down time at the moment, am worried about ds / dad and the upcoming trial, guess thats why I can't get my head focussed on the diet either :( Will wait and see what they suggest for ds, I just want him to fit in and be happy, he commented tonight that he hasn't been invited to any birthday parties at all this year, its stuff like that that upsets me :o

    I'll echo what pixie said...
With regard to parties, my younger one was just the same.
    Hugs to you.

Evening all, somehow haven't posted for a couple of days, oops!
Payday today which is always welcome, although I do miss those days when I used to move a chunk of it into the mortgage pot :o Today was also strike day for our school, I still had to go in but having no kids in meant that I got tonnes and tonnes of bits and pieces done, so am much more up to date now :D

Today was also school report day for ds, overall it was good, once you've cut out the generic waffly bits it basically said that when he chooses to focus he does really well but he needs to learn to do it more often and to control his emotions ... nothing I didn't already know there then  It also siad he's above expected level for reading, below expected level for writing and at expected level for maths. Am happy enough with that, pretty much the same as last years then :)

After school we went to blockbusters as my tesco vouchers expire today, and got 2 dvds and 2 wii games with them. Spends today = £7 on bread, milk etc, and £4.50 on a key cut which I should be able to claim back from work.

£7 profit from a games offer, gets the new month off to a good start :)
Ds had sports day today, he came third in discus but that was about all, he's not the most competitive of kids ;):)

Having just watched the annual Wimbledon semi-final let-down I am now watching a film with ds :D Spends today = £6 on McD's for tea, we were late home after visiting dad and collecting mum from the station, so it was quick and easy :o
