    And 3 days later ive had a response to the above email
    "Thanks for your e-mail.

    This is a receipt to let you know we've received your message, and we'll reply as soon as we can."



    I give up, it'll be a further 3 days now.

    Did u email the person dealing with your complaint or just the general letsworkitout email?

    It was the complaints email. The thing is I wrote 3 months back and got a template generic letter back declining my complaint but telling me to write or email and they would forward my complaint to the central team and that's it. I've had nothing more personal despite sending 5+ emails, being told "yes I can confirm your complaint is with the correct dept", but nothing referring to my complaint hence I've threatened court action and also had a moan about the lack of respond.

    A&L called my husband today. The person dealing with his case said that he was unable to speed things up personally, but that he would forward our email on to his manager, who would contact us to discuss the matter.

    A&L's backlog must be enormous for it to take over 3 weeks o print a sodding cheque off.

    Well, finally one of the managers have called and they've 'started to process' the payment. There's still no guarantee of how long it'll take though.

    HBOS charges..£7000.00 recieved.
    Egg cc..£1300 recieved.
    Barclaycard cc..£ 568 recieved.
    A&L loan..£1677 recieved..HBOS cc..£3500. HBOS.. loan £919.HBOS.cc charges. £1400 MPPI £21799 recieved
