    Afternoon all

Today's list done. One load of washing done and hanging round indoors (it keeps raining). I'm probably going to wash the bedding at the weekend when it's supposed to be dry but at least the bed is changed.

    Hope everyone's OK.
  • Wednesday - Master Bedroom & Landing
    Level 1
    Check smoke alarms are working
Remove and wash bed linen and duvet covers.
Fling open the window and let in the boiling hotness!

    afternoon everyone
It is pouring here - has been all morning - I got soaked out doing my shopping but didnt really have any choice.

Lilo dont fret over the past weeks when you havent done the housework - you cant change it now - you just have to start from now and develop new routines - it wont take long to get things under control - no matter how bad they are - the important thing is you want to do it. why dont you scribble down the things that you think you need to do everyday ( a dailies list) and concentrate on making yourself do that everyday until it becomes automatic - its like the lists the more often you do it the quicker it will become and you can add level 1 in everyday - the next week level 2 as well - how does that sound?
mrsMH the others use Oven Pride - which a lot swear by too.
AnW'sMum thanks! I am trying but way behind schedule I should be about 50 by now given that we are half way through the year!!! And wots this about great dollops of CBA - i didnt know it came dollop-sized - well chuck some out and dont be so greedy:rotfl::p (BTW I didnt manage to get the bags so would appreciate it if you could get me another pack - but after the hols will do - dont go specially xx)

    Morning everyone,
Thanks to all at flylady central. Our holidays from school have started and daughter no1 seemed excited about foing the flylady tasks for yesterday (!), but that wore off after 3 mins approx. 'Boring mum, no fun in cleaning' Grey and overcast here today, supposed to be off to the beach later so will crack on with some bedroom maintenence. Hopr you all have a good day.
grumswife - i dont know how old your DD is - but you have 6 weeks(??) to train her into helping - what about getting her to do one job really well evryday (That she could still do when she goes back to school) and tell her that the jobs need to be done before beach time - maybe making her bed /tidying her room/ putting the washing in the machine/DW if you have one - just something and it is the start of a good habit and you can add to it as she gets older?

natty hope you had a nice quiet reflective time today at the crem - as its Mum's birthday think of all the happy times and enjoy the memories (((hugs)))
roundtuit well done with the decluttering - just a wee tip - when you have got the stuff for the charity shop either get rid straight away or black bag it so no-one can see (including yourself) whats in the bag and have second thoughts!!!! keep up with the ruthlessness - just imagine you are moving house and think "would I take this with me?":D
MissH you will be just fine - they would not have asked you to do it if they didnt think you were up to iT - make sure you get as much info as you can before you go on hols and try to get started asap and not leave it to the last week and then you would be panicking!!! Sorry to hear the family strife has started again - try to rise above it and not let it spoil your household.
SS Suuuuuuuper Giiiiiiiiirl hello my lovely - how are you and the girls and DH and woof? Its lovely to see you xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx good luck to Mum with the move and hope she will be happy in her new house.
Macpep its pouring here too - hope it dries up for you going in the 'van
neveah Happy Birthday to your DD hope she has a great day ( Thanks Holly x)
Holly thats brilliant - well done and if they are willing to try to fit you in they must really want you to have an interview - fingers crossed for you :D:D:D

managed to get the stuff I needed to re-stock my medicine/first aid box so thats No.13 of my list:T

have scoffed lunch - will go and put shopping away and then see whats next
    toots xx
    Peace will be mine

I have only just sat down but dont seem to have achieved much DS is having a very naughty afternoon and driving me totally insane:eek:

I have S+S the kitchen, loaded WM,DW is on now and Have hopefully sorted Niece's birthday presents, picked DS up from playschool and need to clean the bathroom before we go to hydrotherapy this afternoon.

Had a phonecall from Surgical Appliances to say they have DS's boots but because his physio lady is away for another 2 weeks I have got a 36mile drive to go get them:eek: I am not going to have time before friday and they are only open 9am-11 so will need to be ready to leave as soon as DD's are at school.

Going to have a quick coffee and do a HHC at 2.30 if anyone wants to join

I need help from you oldstyle experts. Rather disturbingly it seems I have no idea how to clean the glass in my shower or what to clean it with. This means that in the three years we have lived in this brand new house, I have never given it more than a cursory hose down. Shame on me. Anywho, any top tips as to how to make it shiny again? Do I use window cleaner cos it's glass?
Hi SkintGypsy, I had the same problem when I first started Flying; we have very hard water in this area (it's so hard it has tattoos, piercings and a Mohawk!:rotfl:) so for the first couple of goes I used Astonish limescale remover. Having got the limescale shifted, I now use either a quick squirt of diluted Stardrops if I'm in a hurry (I keep a spray bottle of this in the bathroom so that a certain gentleman can clean the front of the loo after himself when his "aim" is affected by cider:eek::D) or else white vinegar, and it stays lovely and clean now.
    HTH.

    Happy Birthday to Neveah's DD.

Miss H ooh, best of luck; I think I'd sooner saw my own leg off with a rusty breadknife than give a lecture, but I'm sure you're a braver lady than I.

Pub run went OK, I guess; the two "boys" (if you can call a 53 year old and a 60 year old boys:D) enjoyed themselves, and I got us back without getting too lost (I have no sense of direction to speak of).

BUT..... this morning, I've suffered the fallout.:( No sleep last night, and kept bursting into tears for no apparent reason all morning, and feeling very shaky.:( I wish to goodness I could find a way not to feel like this whenever I have to go and socialise with people.:( I bluff my way through the evening OK, but invariably suffer the next day.:(

Bathroom done DS is still on the rampage today and I can't do anything to please him hopefully he will sleep on the way to hydrotherapy and wake up in a better mood;)

Will try and get some catching up done when he is in bed.
