Al Mac he may be entitled to his opinion, but the fact of the matter is he borrowed the money, he should pay it back. Simple. The fact that he's bragging over this is jsut a punch in the face to everyone over on the DFW board who struggle to pay back there loans and credit cards i feel absolutly sick over the way this idiot thinks basically all he has done is nothing short of a smash and grab!!!
Aimed at me ?0 -

Ahh good old moorcroft, I had a call off them yesterday which went like this:
Moorcroft: We'd like you to settle this account so that we can close it
Me: I'm sorry but I can't afford to pay in full which is why I've been paying the agreed amount of £20 a month, more if I can afford it.
Moorcroft: So you can pay £110 in the next 7 days and the remaining £112 next month so your account can be closed?
Me: I'm sorry but I didn't say that, I just told you I can't afford it so there is no way you can get those payments!
Moorcroft: Ok, so if you pay those amounts, no legal action will be taken and your account with us will be closed.
Me: I don't think you're hearing me, I can't afford it!
Moorcroft: Ok then miss 1976 I'll put that you'll be making the payment in my computer and the £110 shall be with us by 24 November.
Me: No, you really are not listening are you? I have no money, I shall continue paying the amount that was agreed when the account was first set up.
Moorcroft: Ok, so that's £110 this month and then the remaining £112 next month and that means no legal action will be taken and your account will be closed.
Me: I'm sorry but I've told you I can't pay but you're obviously not listening, I shall continue with the payment of £20 a month.
Moorcroft: ok if you phone in with your first payment of £110 next week, that will be great!
Me: Whatever, goodbye!
Why can't they listen?? Do I not speak english?? I always try to be polite on the phone no matter who it is but if they phone again next week after not recieving my £110 I'll give them hell!!Kate

I've just read this for the first time - what a nightmare. Its nigh on impossible to deal with people when they refuse to listen to a word you are saying.
For those struggling with DCA phone calls I came across this in the arms the other day (its a link to another site) that might make you chuckleThe early bird gets the worm but the second mouse gets the cheese :cool:0 -
not aimed at you in anyway Mike, i think you have done the right thing and nobody should have to suffer the stress you have been put under because you owe somebody a few quid, it really is not worth getting upset over. the post was aimed at james as he called me a thief and disgrace because i refuse to get stressed over owing somebody money and he doesnt like my attitude (or me).
I understand ALOT more than I care to let on

YEY !! Was it John you spoke with ?
He is a mate of mine, He has hearing difficulties but his bosses at Moorecroft do not know. He hides the fact by simply saying the same thing over and over again, regardless of what the caller says. He has done well there....
(No offence towards anyone with actually having any hearing difficulties.. Im simply explaining a situation... Its true... Honest it is ! )0
