Do you spend every single day walking around to shops and businesses handing out tailored cover letters and CVs? Do you spend your evenings applying for every single job online? I doubt it somehow. It's very easy to find work if you're willing and able.
Monday to Friday I go round companies with my CV plus cover letters. I apply for any job I think I have a chance at getting from online, in the papers etc. I would LOVE a job I need the money so badly0 -
Primarily, it's his company car ... and he does 50k miles a year in it - so in order to do his job well he'd have to like the car. So I'd say it's important that he enjoys/likes it. That £50/month buys his happiness ... and it is him that has to turn out in all weathers, battling it out on the roads, to bring home the bacon.0

fang & Pink, going a bit OT?
OP, have you considered going "back to the drawing board" and looking through your options again? Perhaps a post on the motoring board might offer some alternatives?0 -

Why do you need the money so badly? A month ago you had a massive amount ready for a house deposit apparently?
You need to tailor your CV and letter. Have you applied at McDonald's? They'll have anyone.0 -

Your sister who 'works in recruitment' can't help you get a job? Doesn't wash I'm afraid. If you're not getting interviews then you need to look at your pre-interview progress, if you are, then you're not living up to what's on your CV.0 -
In answer to the OP, yes....i feel you are being unfair.
It's HIS car, he is the one driving 50k miles in it.
Does he pick your car? Tell you to buy different household goods ? To buy cheaper shoes?
I suspect not.
Is he tall? My OH is 6'3 and does struggle with seating positions in some cars. We ended up with a saab 95 diesel. Plenty of leg room in both front & rear.Autism Mum Survival Kit: Duct tape, Polyfilla, WD40, Batteries (lots of),various chargers, vats of coffee, bacon & wine.0 -

No, I'm only 5 feet tall but if it did the job I would. I also have to put large and heavy instruments in the car too which would be a nightmare.
TBH I'd rather have a little white van but boss says a car so a car I've got.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Old style MoneySaving boards.
