On tonight's menu we have a full roast dinner.

Roast potatoes (7 medium sized ones, roast in a drizzle of Olive oil)
    Big pile of cabbage
    Big pile of carrots
    Runner beans
    Broccoli
Chicken breast. It's going to be hard not eating the skin :-(
    Gravy
Apple Sauce (17 calories per tablespoon)
Stuffing (45 calories for the size of stuffing ball that I'm having)

Don't think I'll be hungry after that lot. If I am, I've got an activia yoghurt for afters!

Screamer, Ive got a chicken and was fancying a roast dinner

how many syns are you making that to be? I wouldnt bother with the apple sauce. Havent had stuffing for ages and think i might have some.

How many syns in the gravy/ stuffing?

I don't know Lynz, I don't know how to figure it out yet. Got my first meeting on Thursday. If anyone wants to tell me though I'll happily take things into account.

I've never done SW before so everything is new to me right now. Just reading everyone's posts has made me even more keen to do it!

If you think apple sauce is a bad idea I won't have any. Dinner isn't for another hour or so so I've not had it yet. I just love the stuff with chicken and stuffing :-)
Yaaay, I finally conned a man into making a honest woman of me. Even more shocking is that I can put the words "Happily" and "Married" into the same sentence and not have life insurance on my mind when I say it ;-)

That's OK. Could someone explain the "syns" to me please? Like I said, I am totally new to this and after reading reviews, slimming world seems to be more successful than WW so opted for this instead. I understand the points system with WW but as for syns, I'm clueless until Thursday.

So I'll be having 3 syns with gravy and stuffing. Will pass on the apple sauce if that's a bad idea. I will be doing 10km on the exercise bike when my tea has settled so that might make me feel a little less guilty about the "syns" lol. The pile of veggies should ease my conscience too :-)

You're all great for your help. Hopefully I should be a little more clued up after Thursday :-)

What have you eaten today so far?

The syn limit is for 5-15 per day so if everything else youve had is syn-less then you are fine !

Your dinner looks like it is more than 1/3rd superfree so thats fine!
If you scroll back I found a page for wootball that explains syns quite well :)

Ps you might have to syn the oil for the potatoes as well if you have not had HEB
