Someone was asking about courgettes?? I bought some yesterday & intend using them in chicken kebabs (on sticks, not in a pitta) with mushrooms, onion, tomatoes etc. Usually cook mine in the oven for about 20 mins, just make sure the chicken is cooked.
Also, what about putting them in a ratatouille??
What an amazing loss! That is superb! :T:T:T:T
I like courgettes a lot ( oh not as keen which is annoying!) but they are great cut into strips or discs and grilled under the grill or on the George foreman, or in a griddle pan, they get nicely chargrilled. Good then in salads ( im going to add some to the couscous) on a sandwich if you bother with bread or on the top of a pizza type ( eg pitta pizza)
Courgettes are lovely, you can also grate them and add them to potato cakes or I bet to the couscous frittas that people have made ( i haven't got round to yet,I eat the couscous too soon!)
Ainsley cous is on 2 for £1 at morrissons and is also on offer at sainsburys:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
Hi
I haven't been on for a while but have been following the sw diet with the help of minimins.
I've been doing well until this week when I put on 2lb
I've no idea why i've stuck to the plan although have to say that I didn't feel well earlier in the week and that resulted in a loss of appetite so haven't eaten as much as previous weeks.
Would that have an effect? I was so disappointed yesterday I ate chocolate and sweets last night - the first time since starting the diet. I'm doing sw at home so can't ask in class.
I'm back on plan today and hoping that when I weigh in on Monday it'll be good news!0 -

Iv been struggling the last couple of weeks with getting my meals in with some probs eating, I know this resulted one week in me losing only 1/2 pound when I had not been 'bad' in any way with eating choccies etc.
I spoke to my cons at group and she said it was definately due to me not eating enough....and regularly enough, Im having another of those weeks again this week so It will probably show on the scales(Tho this week I have eaten syns with choccy ive not gone over 12 a day) Ive been erratic with my eating

It's hard isn't it! I do try to be organised but it doesn't always work out and I think there's nothing worse than forcing yourself to eat when you really don't feel hungry!
Why is it so easy to gain weight and a lot harder to lose it?!?!
I think i'm going to come on here every day to post my food diary, I do think with the support of everyone on here it will be easier than going it alone.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you that you've lost this week - what day is your weigh in?0 -
Hey all,
Well done to losers and everyone else sticking to it
I put on 3lbs this week - but not surprising when last tues i had a meal out (chips included!) and demolished a whole bag of mars planets (the big one!) then it was my hen night Saturday when i consumed alot of alcohol and a meal out (chips & desert included!) and sunday decided to have another 'off' day by eating a prepacked sandwich (on white bread!) with crisps & duo snickers then a chinese (satay chicken, chips & curry sauce!) nibbled on sesame prawn toast, then had a twix & double decker! Then i actually ate a big lunch on WI day as i was at home! (then blew it again with KFC after WI! - but had swum 1/2 mile before hand!)
But considering the above - i am happy!
Starting a fresh today!
Regarding the scotch eggs free on green - does the couscous have to be cooked before or dry?
Also, any ideas of green day speed food recipes e.g. soup etc. I need to make sure i have a good week!0 -

Oh dizzy sorry to hear you are not feeling so well.
Dont know if you can be bothered, but I just knocked up an ainsley couscous with loads of salad veg in ( chopped pepper, red onion, radish, carrot). I am going to make this on an as and when basis. Not sure if you can manage this with your throat but Its quit ea good thing to have in the fridge I can shovel a bit inwhen im peckish.
I bought the apples today for the apple cinnamon breakfast couscous idea, and will let you know how I go on with it, hopefully it might be a nice soft food you can manage.

:TWell you're entiltled to a blow out on your hen night nessie
glad to hear you had a great time!
Carrot & corriander soup is easy to do, cheap tasty....I have that a lot when I cant eat solids too well. And someone at group last week was eating strawbs with every meal and had a good loss....she swears by them0 -
On tonight's menu we have a full roast dinner.
Roast potatoes (7 medium sized ones, roast in a drizzle of Olive oil)
Big pile of cabbage
Big pile of carrots
Runner beans
Broccoli
Chicken breast. It's going to be hard not eating the skin :-(
Gravy
Apple Sauce (17 calories per tablespoon)
Stuffing (45 calories for the size of stuffing ball that I'm having)
Don't think I'll be hungry after that lot. If I am, I've got an activia yoghurt for afters!Yaaay, I finally conned a man into making a honest woman of me. Even more shocking is that I can put the words "Happily" and "Married" into the same sentence and not have life insurance on my mind when I say it ;-)0
