    Just read all that back and I do come over a bit grumpy don;t i ;-)
    Will try and redeem myself by sharing a little recipe I tried at the weekend - loosey based on the chicken kiev that was posted earlier.

    Instead of putting quatk and garlic n the middle, I dry fried some mushrooms and garlic, allowed to cool and then stirred in the quark before stuffing in posckets in a chicken breast. Wrapped a piece of bacon (- all fat removed obviously) around and pinned it with a toothpick to close the hole IFSWIM. Served with green veg risotto. MMMMMmmmmmMMMMM

    Now the quark melted so you couldn't actually tell it had been there but it kept the mushrooms lovely and moist. My sister really enjoyed it and was gobsmacked when I told her it was 'free' on EE SW (altho I did count 1 syn for a little bit of oil in the risotto to stop it sticking to the pan)

    How is that not good? I'd say you did really well, :T

    I thought I was supposed to stick to 10 and I'm guessing that snackajacks are more than 3 and a half. But yes, not at all bad considering I actually walked down to that snack machine and looked at the double decker in there before changing my mind ;-)

    You can have between 5 and 15 so I'd say you were bang on the money. I hope you looked that double decker straight in the eyes! Anyone that can stare down chocolate of any description is alright in my book!

    My plan for tomorrow (such as it is') which is going to be GREEN

    HEA1 = Skimmed milk
    HEA2 = ???

    HEB1 = Weetabix
    HEB2 = Cereal Bar

    Breakfast - Weetabix and Milk
    Snack Apple (s)
    Lunch - Couscous salad (half sachet Ainsley couscous + tomatoes, sweetcorn, spring onion and cucmber)
    FF yoghurt, Strawberries
    Afternoon Snack - Banana + Cereal Bar
    Evening Meal - WW quiche , new potatoes, green beans and another veg (from the freezer - haven't decided which yet)
    Pudding to be decided tomorrow

    Does anyone have any genius ideas about what to do with courgettes (oo-er missus). I have 2 green ones and 3 yellow ones in my fridge - I do like them (especially when steamed and dripping with butter) but motly put them in things - pasta sauce, risotto etc - any other ideas?

    Hi all, I'm new to SW, just decided to switch form doing WW to SW, just found that weighing everything got too much and don't have the time and having to guess everything has messed it all up and have lost my motivation, so time for a fresh start. I chose SW because have a few friends doing it and they swear by it so i look ofrward to trying it. Have lost 36.5lbs already since new year ( one of my resolutions stuck!) anyway still got 33.5lbs to go. I have been reading the SW book and keep trying to point it all, so that shall take some getting used to. Anyway am starting tomorow with an EE day and just hope i can get the hang of it, not weighing it all and eating a s much as i like! sounds too good to be true, but have found my appetite has decreased since losing weight. Is there a calculator to use to work out syn values? I am following this plan on my own with books. Sorry for the long post.
    Goodnight all

    Welcome to the thread lostkelly and shazbo :)

    There is no calculator to work out syns but you can use the very loose 20 calories = 1syn. This doesn't work for everything so please use it only in emergencies.

    The main thing to remember with Extra Easy is to have at least one third of your plate as superfree veg or fruit and to weigh your Healthy Extras and syns carefully. Eat as much as it takes to satisfy your appetite (that is not to feel stuffed, just nicely full).

    Enjoy and keep posting :)

    You're actually allowed up to 15 but we say 10 so that, in the beginning when everything is new, you can make a mistake and still be within the limits - as you have, so give yourself a pat on the back.......well done! :D

    I take on board your feeling about it being limited in staff canteens and I do agree with you but you will soon get the hang of things. I always think you're better off packing a lunch and then you're in control of what you eat.

    There are any number of packable foods like homemade quiche, scotch eggs, various salads (pasta, rice, couscous), chicken drumsticks, syn-free or Quorn sausages, skewers of chunks of chicken with veg or even fruit in between - these are lovely grilled and eaten hot or cold.

    Chop some fruit to go with your Weetabix, it'll help fill you up and if you're going to be doing EE often, I would have a go at something else so that you can have your HEs later in the day when you may be hungrier.

    I do exactly the same as you on the bread front, lol. I used to love crusty white bread but have given it up entirely now and don't really miss it anymore, till someone makes toast - the smell of toast can wake me from a deep sleep :rotfl::rotfl:
