Morning all, I'm so glad I posted on here yesterday, it's spurred me on to read through the posts and has helped me get ' into the zone' Although having said that it's hubbys birthday today so we'll be eating out tonight it's a Harvester so any recommendations from their new menu ? I don't want to feel deprived but at the same time don't want to lose this positive feeling. I was thinking maybe ribs with jacket and sweetcorn and obviously salad from salad bar...................Pudding maybe a bit of a challenge though I just love the 'Rocky horror' !!!!

Rocky horror is my fave Harvester pud too! I've been avoiding the Harvester as I can't say no to it!! :D

I've never tried a naked Blueberries... only had them in muffins LOL. I'll buy some next time I'm at the shop and give them a go.

Ahhh so that is all you do with a Pommegranite it's going to take me ages to eat LOL

The orange things look like redcurrents but orange

Afternoon Ladies & Gents... I've come to you all to help me out.

I've just got back from the shops and have bought a pommegranite.....except this is the first time I've ever owned one :D:D and don't have a scooby as to what to do with it....

I don't mind pureeing it to syn it (if you can) and making a nice pud with it so it will be a treat.

Does anyone have any thoughts? (that doesn't include creme fraiche as I can't get it)

Also there are lot of red currents, blue berries, little orange berry things (dunno what they are) and goosegogs.... I would like to try them all too but never bought any so don't know what to do with them.

    xx
the gooseberries you would have to cook they are 1 syn per (113 gram raw weight) after you stew them.....but then you can have them with from frais or yogurt with some alpen even yum :) and they're ss too! dunno what the orangey berries are tho thought kumquats were more like little orangey type things??

  • Hello :hello:

Can I join you, pretty please??

It's my first day of SW (joined my local class last night) & I'm finding it all a bit confusing :o I thought I knew what I was doing, but I think I've ended up having 2 Healthy Eating 'b' choices instead of just the one I think I'm supposed to have?? I noticed a post further back, sorry can't remember who, & they had similar to me (porridge for brekkie & toast for lunch) & she counted the toast as a syn, I'm presuming because she had already had her 'b' choice with the porridge?? So can I do that as well??

Does that all make sense?? It's confusing me writing it all down!! :o:rotfl:

If I tell you what I've eaten today, with what I think are 'a', 'b', syns etc., can someone please put me right??

B - 20g porridge (HEb) with 150g semi-skimmed milk (HEa) and a good handful of frozen rasps (free)
L - 2 x wholemeal toast 400g size loaf (6.0 syns?!) with small tin of spag hoops (free??), 2 fresh apricots (free), 1 strawberry mullerlight yog (free??)
D - to be decided, thinking of a baked potato with tuna & salad (all free??)

How does that look so far?? It's probably not a fantastic menu as I wasn't very organised today, joining SW last night was a spur of the moment decision!! :o Btw, I'm trying the Extra Easy plan for the time being, if that helps. And sorry for the mega first post, I do tend to waffle on a bit!! :o

Yep looks fine to me, just syn the bread ( is it from a 400g loaf or the bigger one? )

Also if you use any sort of dressing on the salad youll need to syn that as well.

OK folks im looking for yoghurt or quark based salad dressings?

    Anyone got any clues?

Hi From me too sweetserendipity

Yep you got it pretty much all right there :) just keep doing the same tomorrow, ask away with any questions if you're feeling confused;)
dont forget to count any syns such as salad dressings etc and if you're doing the EE make sure you have a third of your meal free or superfree veggies or fruit.
