    Back on the wagon 100%

Breakfast - Had 2 wetabix (HEb) with skimmed milk (HEa) & a chopped banana.

Lunch - Ham & boiled egg pasta salad (toms, lettuce, cuecumber), a fruit salad (melon, grapes, pineapple & kiwi) & a muller, are the new cheesecake ones free?

Got a chicken roasting in the oven for dinner, think I will have it with salad & (actifry) chips.

no sorry they are 1 syn each  as I found out at class after only losing half a pound and eating loads of them!!!!

The cheesecake ones are 1 syn each! IMO they are not worth it - i would much rather have a rolo! :rotfl:

I totally agree....theyre pretty rubbish for 1 syn  I was only eating them for a change too as my stomach was soooo painful that week and yoghurt was about the easiest thing to eat. I think Id rather have suffered the pain of a rolo lol :rotfl:

I would much rather have a 'normal' one - the cranberry & raspberry one are delish - so are the vanilla ones!

I also really like the ff activia - they should be good on a icky stomach!

Some of the WW desserts ones are free & they are ok - not worth it if they are syns tho imo

I always have rolos and cadburys chocolate eclairs in the fridge (or freezer) to help with sugar/chocolate cravings - they last longer than a chunk of chocolate!

Ooh - how do you make the kievs - my son lurves Chciken Kievs - it's tricky cooking things for just the two of us (he's 9)

Make a pocket in a chicken breast by slitting with a knife across ways but not all the way through. Pop in either some quark mixed with garlic or (my favourite) a couple of Laughing Cow Lights. Close up the pocket and wrap a lean bacon rasher round the breast. Hold together with a wooden cocktail stick till cooked.

They take about 20 - 30 mins in a medium oven depending on the size of the breast and they are sooooo yummy :p

Am feeling decidedly PMT... which is ridiculous since I am 'well past all that' as my mum would have said...

So am I but I do think that you still get 'those' feelings and crave sweet things.

Could your OH have put your book in the paper recycling? I ask because it's happened to at least 2 of my members!

I really need to keep a track of the food I am eating and plan for each day... Could anyone email me a copy of the food diary sheet they give out at slimming world to write down what food you have had as I dont have any from before and I'm doing the plan alone this time instead of going back to SW classes......

I don't bother with the food diary sheets I just got a small note book. I draw lines to seperate into days then more lines for HEX, syns & free foods. I write everything down in my book and it keeps me on track. HTH
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

Hope these recipes might be of use to some of you:-

Chicken & Ham Pate (syn free on Original & EE)

1 chicken breast (cooked and diced),
Small handful of wafer thin ham,
1 large tub very low fat cottage cheese,
    1 tsp garlic,
    1 tbsp chopped parsley.

Blend all ingredients together until smooth.

Liver & bacon pate (syn free on Original & EE)

1lb liver of your choice chopped
    4-6oz bacon chopped
    1 large onion finely chopped
    1-2 cloves garlic crushed
    Frylight
    1 tub quark
Fry the onion and garlic in the Frylight until soft. Add the liver and bacon and fry until cooked. Place everything in a food processor and process until as smooth as you prefer. Add quark and process until blended. Divide into containers cool and refrigerate or freeze.

Smoked salmon pate (syn free on Original & EE)

8oz smoked salmon pieces (or mackerel if preferred)
8oz natural low fat cottage cheese.
    Lemon juice
    Black pepper.

Blend all ingredients together until smooth.

Spicy Mexican spread (syn free on Green & EE)

Mash 200g of red kidney beans with very low fat fromage frais and half a teaspoon of mild chilli powder. Mix in half a 100g can of sweetcorn, half a chopped red pepper and 1 finely chopped spring onion. Leave chunky or blend smooth if preferred.

Hummus (syn free on Green & EE)

    Three tins of chickpeas
Juice and rind of two lemons
    Salt
    1 fat clove of garlic
Tub of very low fat fromage frais
    Blend all together until smooth.

All these recipes keep well in the fridge for a couple of days, and would be equally nice on crispbread or as a filling for a jacket potato.
I let my mind wander and it never came back!
