Can anyone help again ( sorry!)

i bought cO-OP HADDOCK IN BREADCRUMBS that are coming out at 9.5 syns each ()

If I scrape off the breadcrumbs will it make it syn free? Im only thinking this as chippy fish in batter is free if the batter is removed. And thats deep fried not ovened/grilled

Am having with loads of veg
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

Yep looks fine to me, just syn the bread ( is it from a 400g loaf or the bigger one? )

Also if you use any sort of dressing on the salad youll need to syn that as well.

OK folks im looking for yoghurt or quark based salad dressings?

    Anyone got any clues?
I just use ff yog with mint and a little chilli powder (like for kebabs) I thin it down with a drop of water if too thick, but it really does make a boring salad so much more interesting!! I usually just chop everything up in a bowl, some lettuce tom cucumber onion chopped ham, a couple of chopped eggs and pour over some yog sauce and eat from a bowl.....yummmmm

    Hi All,

I really want to give slimming world a try. I did it years ago so still have the books etc. I am around 3 st over my ideal weight. What I really want to know is how do I get started. I have so got into the habit of eating whatever I want whenever, I am scared I wont be able to get through the first day. I walk for at last half an hour every day and I enjoy this I just need to get organised with my food. I don't want to start and fail another diet. Can anyone help me get started. (I am off for a holiday to Australia at Christmas so that's my incentive)

I like to feel full which is why I think slimming worl might work. Thanks for any help J:)

  • daisy & dizzy, I'm liking the sound of those salad dressings  I usually have my lettuce naked (to pinch trixies word, lol) as I'm not fussed on the vinagrette type dressings & I never know what else to do. I think the yoghurty/mayo type would suit me better.

Btw, thanks for the welcome :D I'll try not to be too much of a pain in the coming weeks, I just need to get my head around what I can eat/syn etc.

lynz, yes the bread was from a 400g loaf, Warburtons wholemeal I think it was, went nice with the spag hoops, I felt like a kid again!! :rotfl:

Hello and welcome to the newbies :D

Lynzpower -I did exactly the same thing yesterday-picked up 2 young's haddock in breacrumbs thinking "2-4syns max" 9.5  -I did wonder if they had stuck the crumbs on with lard ? :rotfl:-I gave 1 to hubby and whacked the other in the freezer and had my home made fishcakes. Im sure that if you scrape the crumbs off you should be ok -even if you count a point or 2 just to be safe ;)

Julie -there is no reason that you can't eat "whenever" you want -I do :p..its just a case of being clever about what you do with your healthy extras and syns. I have never felt hungry on SW so far...

    Hello everyone!

I haven't had a brilliant weekend so writing here in the hope it will shame me to get back on track!! Had a hen do over the weekend, was good all day and only had 2 bacardis and diet coke on the night (5 syns I think) and a small plastic cup of a cocktail (syns ???)
Was quite good the rest of the weekend then went to blockbuster and everything went downhill... Lge tub of Pick a Mix and bottle of wine later... (not even looked up the syns because I don't want to know!)
Was off work Monday and managed to stick to syn limits (8) but had fruit for lunch and nothing for breakkie which I know is not good.
Anyway new day new start, despite the awful weekend i still lost 1.5lb which is 13.5lbs in total over 3 weeks, just .5 to go to get to a stone. ( grr if it wasn't for the pick a mix I would prob have got there:(). Anywway sorry for the winge and waffle just thought writing it down may help me get back on track! Will also post my food diary in a min as I find it really helps.
