  • What can I have in the afternoon at work that's sweet and will keep me away from the biscuit tin?

    Any ideas?

How about saving your HEB until the afternoon and having a couple of Alpen Lights? Or if you have access to a freezer, pop in a free Yoghurt at lunchtime and 1.5 to 2 hours later it is partly frozen, just right to eat slowly...:D

    Evening all

I've had a challenging day but didn't fold!! This morning my work kids held a coffee morning for local OAPs and there were biscuits and cakes everywhere  but I did not eat any :D. Then we took them out to a garden centre for the afternoon, my work kids all had chips for lunch, but I ate my salad! And then I've been to the cinema after work and manage to resist real popcorn and chocolate

    Green day:

B - Oats (HEB), half banana and skimmed milk (HEA)
    L - salad, lentil pie
D - HM SF watercress soup, jacket spud, cheese (HEA)
Snacks - banana, kellogs fibre + (HEB), butterkist light toffee popcorn (6.5syns)
Drinks - cofee, water, NAS squash, lemonade (2syns)

    Total syns = 8.5

I'm so pleased that I stuck to plan all day :D. The only downfall was my drink at the cinema. My friend picked up drinks for us beforehand but accidentally picked up normal lemonade not diet. I only had half a can so not too bad.

    - the popcorn is lovely! hope you manage to find some soon. I took my kellogs fibre + bar too so had loads to eat.

Hope you all had good days

Hello everyone. Not been on here for a few days and no time to catch up so will start reading posts again from now. Just wanted to post that I managed a 2.5lb weight loss this week which meant that I got my stone award. I still don't know what I weigh but do know that I have a long way to go still but I am really pleased and it definitely means some more of my old clothes are going to fit again before work starts again next week. Well done to all other losses. Nuninge

Oh well done especially on getting your stone award. It doesn't matter how far you have still to go - you're on your way now....baby steps is the way to get there :T

Just been looking at some Virgin experiences to shake life up a bit - one that I'd like to do has a weight limit - I'm 16lbs over it - so that's something to aim for! :D I will treat myself and hubby when I get there :D

Oohh good plan. I was gutted when I looked into doing a skydive earlier this year and found I was a bit too much over the weight limit :( But as soon as I get under it I'm going to jump outta a plane!! :D

  • blimey I wish I could eat more cheese! I use all my HEA in countless cups of strong filter coffee during the day so I have to syn any cheese I eat. That's gonna be a problem with following the online menu for EE for a week, some days (eg tomorrow) it says "add 28g parmesan" that means I shall have to syn my milk tomorrow. Though I guess I could do half as much parmesan, then use half my milk and syn half. The other thing with the menus, now I've looked closely, is that there isn't much in the way of vegetables. I'm doing the first day tomorrow which includes spaghetti bolognaise (yuck, but I'm sticking with it), I've added some broccoli and cauliflower to it. I am preparing it tonight to take to work tomorrow & heat in microwave.

she went back to eating her own menus and this week lost 51/2lbs - was this a delayed reaction from the eating plan ? or something else hmmm she was happier today tho :)
