However, I did think that as our consultant went round the room and we clapped at every weight loss, listened to the person's experiences of the week and she asked them how much they intended to lose next week, I was glad that there were only 15 of us! It took forever. Is this the usual format wherever you go?
I did smile when one woman put her loss of 5lbs down to "eating more, and eating between meals". Sounds like my kind of diet! (Eating plan?)
On the plus side, they were all friendly, but apart from my individual introduction the evening was not terribly infomative. I've got a lot of reading to do.
I bought some of the famous scan brans - pretty horrible I must say, but I will give 'em a go, apparently I need them to supplement my morning porridge which does not have enough fibre.
One thing I have just thought of - should I have been given a password for the internet?
Glad you made it and joined a group
Yes this is standard format to go round each person with their experience of the week....it does take time - but this is often where you pick up on all the little hints and tips to help you on your weight loss journey, its also a time if you've maybe not done so well so get some support from everyone to make you feel like carrying on the next week!
Consultants do tend to vary unfortunately - our last (temporary one) was very flaky....we just literally went round the room with the losses and gains and that was the end of the classhardly anyone stayed and a lot of members stopped going at all which was a shame. We have a new one now who is FAB!!! every class is filled with stuff of interest and you come away feeling inspired and with new ideas.....she has a table in the centre that you queue round to weigh in and its always got new stuff on to look at, like food packs with syn values written on etc that have just come out.
stick at it tho.....maybe you could look into if there is another class y could transfer to if you dont feel the consultant inspires you in a few weeks time?
and if you contact your consultant she will give you the password to get online0 -

As usual, I'm confusing myself here.Right, I have decided that from tomorrow I am following one of the recommended menus from the website, the EE one. A couple of things will have to be swapped: I NEVER eat carrots, and I shan't be using the tinned soup or the packet pasta'n'sauce, or the canned spaghetti. They will all be replaced by something equally healthy. I do notice though that most of the breakfasts on the menu do NOT include cereals. I will let you know how I get on :)AND I've just bought a packet of Co-op wholemeal pittas to occasionally use as a healthy extra, yum yum, warmed up and stuffed with cold salad or with warm mediterranean vegetables.0
