Thankyou!! I'm panicking a bit now as I had it in my head that 1 slice from a 800g loaf was a HEb, i don't buy nimble or 'little' pieces of bread as OH won't eat them and i rarely eat bread. B*gger, i have treated 1 slice as a HEb when I have been doing EE too, well at least i know now and thankfully had enough syns yesterday to use for the extra slice.

Just a thought, how about buying a 400g wholemoeal loaf and freezing it in two slice portions, so when you know you are going to have bread the next day you could just take a portion out of the freezer to defrost overnight;)

    xx

hi everyone i haven't read today's posts i am just here for a whinge and a moan.
i have followed green days religiously for 4 weeks now and lost 0.5lb,1lb then STS for 2 weeks. i know i was on holiday but i didn't veer off the plan at all.

i am now feeling very despondent and pretty much what's the point :(

    Hi mummyof5,

Sorry you are feeling down about things. Someone else may have suggested this but are you eating until you are comfortably full rather than 'stuffed'? I'm not saying you are eating too much at all, in fact your food looks really good to me but I know I could sit and eat 3 massive bowls of spag bol in one sitting which would do my weightloss no good at all so I need to make myself think about how full I am rather than just continuing to eat because it is 'free'. Just a thought :)

Thats a good idea! Thankyou! I hate wasting food so this would work, think I can defrost bread in the toaster too :)

Well I have just checked online and it says 1 slice of wholemeal bread from a 800g loaf is a Heb but only lists the brands 'Roberts bakery' and Allinson. I didn't use these brands but would assume its the same for other wholemeal bread?? Also it said 57g of any wholemeal bread except pitta counts as a Heb, hmm think I will weigh the bread when i get home!

Today I am making a pan of consultants Dyno-rod soup in an effort to help sort my system out, my meds are playing havoc with me again

Awww, really hopes it works for you dizzy, being bunged up is a horrible feeling :( Fingers crossed you lose half a stone overnight!! ;)
Well done on the physio, it sounds awful but it sounds like you're making good progress :)
AND I've just bought a packet of Co-op wholemeal pittas to occasionally use as a healthy extra, yum yum, warmed up and stuffed with cold salad or with warm mediterranean vegetables.

This sounds lovely, I've put it on my 'to do' list :D

I've just weighed a slice of 800g Warburtons wholemeal bread (frozen) & it was 37g  Don't know if the weight will change when it's defrosted??
  • EE Meal plan for today:

    B - mullerlight & banana & apple
L - HM lentil & veg soup followed by spaghetti on 1 x 800g toast (HEB??) followed by clementine
D - baked potato with HM chilli with 28g grated cheddar (HEA) followed by piece of fruit

The soup & chilli have plenty of superfree veggies but I'm worried about the HEB now. Maybe have a scanbran with quark & tomato for supper.

Syns - 32g bag of chocolate buttons (hubby got the wrong size!!) 8.5

hello, I dont post much in here, but I do lurk alot.. my diary would look pretty much like yours, and I too was having problems STS and yo yoing around 2lb.. Ive found since cutting out breakfast cereal - cous cous - bread etc, ive started loosing again - might be worth a try.

Oh I should say, the only grains im having is a kellogs thingie bar HEb with my evening hot chocolate (2syns) for my chocolate fix

thanks for your reply lill but the only thing that makes me feel full is cereal and cous cous :(
i have virtually given up bread as i think it is a waste of a HEB
think i am a hopeless case
the worst part is i only need to lose about 12 lbs :(

Have just found http://www.youtube.com/slimmingworld wow loads of inspiring videos !!!

I know that i posted yesterday that I was falling off the plan but I am now back!!!
Go hopefully into each new day, enjoy something from every day no matter how small, you never know when it will be your last
  • Well, I joined my local SW group last night. Weighed in (very scarey) and listened intently. I noticed that a number of people just weighed and left, which seems a shame. However, I did think that as our consultant went round the room and we clapped at every weight loss, listened to the person's experiences of the week and she asked them how much they intended to lose next week, I was glad that there were only 15 of us! It took forever. Is this the usual format wherever you go?

I did smile when one woman put her loss of 5lbs down to "eating more, and eating between meals". Sounds like my kind of diet! (Eating plan?)

On the plus side, they were all friendly, but apart from my individual introduction the evening was not terribly infomative. I've got a lot of reading to do.

I bought some of the famous scan brans - pretty horrible I must say, but I will give 'em a go, apparently I need them to supplement my morning porridge which does not have enough fibre.

One thing I have just thought of - should I have been given a password for the internet?

I know I've not posted here forever but I have been on plan and got my club 10 last night :)

Consultant said I should think about setting a target, not sure what I want my target to be though.
