    Morning everyone :)

Didn't end up having mackerel last night, OH didn't fancy it and we only had tea very late so evening meal changed.
I think i accidently ended up having a green day but i'm not sure as I have only ever done EE. Could someone possibly have a quick look at the below please and give me a shout if I have got something wrong?

    Yesterday Green Day (I think)

    b - Muller and 2 plums
l - Speedy soup made with all s or ss veg and green lentils (Are these free on green?) Courgette fritatta made with eggs, courgette quaaaark, onion and herbs. Strawbs, rasberries and cherries.
    t - 2 slices of wholemeal bread from 800g loaf (HEbx2) 50g cheese (HEax2) Baked beans.
    Syns/snacks - Strawbs, 2 sugars (2) 1 Tsp butter (2)

It was either cheese and beans on toast for tea or takeaway with loads of syns so thinking I made the best choice. :A Was going to syn the extra cheese and bread as I was thinking of EE but then realised there was no superfree with tea and it looked like a green day but as I say only done EE before.

Right I will go and catch up on all the posts.

Hello - may I join you?

I'm hoping to go to my first ever SW class on Tuesday evening. I did WW years ago and lost 4 stone, but gradually I've put it back on along with an extra one!

Now this may interest you. I went to see my Doctor for an asthma check up and was moaning about my weight and she said that she could refer me to SW or WW. When I asked what she meant by 'refer' she said I could get 12 vouchers for 12 weeks free.

I filled in the form, she sent it off and I await the vouchers. I am amazed (I've put this on the Freebie board too). Perhaps it's a local thing, I live in Dorset.

I doubt that I will get the vouchers before Tuesday, but I want to make a start while I'm in the right frame of mind, so I hope they will let me use the vouchers in future weeks.

Moneysaving and weightloss, sounds good to me.

Has anyone else had experience of these free vouchers?
Yes I got these vouchers just over a year ago. Unfortunately after attending one or two classes was diagnosed with bc and cuz of treatment I couldnt attend SW. When treatment finished SW wouldnt let me continue attending with the vouchers as I'd missed 4 or 5 classes. When I went back to the GP they had discontined the vouchers. So I just follow advise here and not bother with classes now. At least I got the books ;)
Good luck with SW and hope it helps your asthma :)
  • Lisa, see if you can grab something really fibrey (scan bran, ryvita or summat) and eat it with perhaps sliced tomatoes or something as you are out it's going to be difficult, and lots of water and perhaps a cup of tea or coffee, that'll work out cheaper than dynorod! and if it doesn't work at least it doesn't weigh too much inside you :)Niandra, that does sound like a green day! :)
    :jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

    thank you Slimming World!

    morning all

Redmel-I have always believed eggs to be free and not superfree -but the debate made me check :p
I have just looked at my food optimising book again and Im reading eggs to be FreeFoods ..
    on page 9 it reads:-

Plus all the fabulous free foods you can enjoy any time to satisfy your appetite, also with no limits -they include:-
    • lean meat and poultry
    • fish and seafood
    • potatoes, pulses and starchy veg
    • rice pasta and grains
    • Eggs
    • fat free dairy
    • vegetable proteins, eg -quorn and tofu
hope that makes sense -Im sure consultant will be along to makes sure we get it right...
oh and I always use 1/3 veggies/salad for my superfree with meals (even though I do red days)-the idea is to reduce the space you have on your plate for everything else -so you eat less of the higher caloried foods...

the paragraph Immediately above this says that on the following pages you'll find lists of superfree foods these include

    fresh & frozen fruit
    vegetables

Right according to my directory eggs are superfree! So for EE does it stipulate that 1/3 MUST be FRUIT/VEG or does it just stipulate 1/3 MUST be SUPERFREE FOOD

Someone mentioned spuds before too, as far as I am aware potatoes are not suoerfree anyway, as they are not free on red days and have to be synned or used as HE. So although they are freely allowed on EE i see it as they can't count as the superfree food.

I am just trying to get my head around this EE, not meaning to be a pain:)

I have a huge list in the front of my directory of Superfree branded and unbranded foods, so surely ANYTHING off those lists would counts for the 1/3 rule UNLESS it states that the 1/3 MUST be fruit and veg???

Where is consultant31 when you need her:p

    xx

    Eggs are definately only FREE

Potatos are FREE on GREEN & EE

The 1/3 rule is items from the SUPERFREE list....which is ONLY fruit and veg.

if you re read page 9 of your book it may make more sense ;) x
