Sounds good to me, sounds like an EE to me then you dont have to syn the potato ( or the spag bol? ) whatever it is?

Although that means no cheese on the chips?!!?

They are all of a muchness IMO

I thought if I had the beef mince in the spag bol as a HEb this would be a green day?

Have I done it wrong then?

Hi Lizzy I think it was confusing (well it confused me for a moment) because you said "free and HEB" whereas you had listed the food in the order of HEB (bolognaise) and free (jacket spud). If you do it in the other order (jacket pot = free, and bolog = HEB, which is what you meant) it is ok for a green day. I'm getting myself more tangled now :o

let me get back to my watercress soup (making it because the cress will be soggy tomorrow; I do prefer it fresh and green to pureed and slurpy :( ) and then the pub quiz. Hope there's some SW questions :rotfl:

  • WI tonight & I lost 1.5lbs woohoo!! Got my half stone award :A

We had a taster session tonight & I was amazed at how much gorgeous food there was, savoury & sweet  It did make me think that I need to broaden my horizons & stop making chilli so much!! :o I took the syn-free onion bhajis in & they were lovely, definitely make them again :D

So I don't think I'll do a meal plan for today - not sure I could remember what I've eaten anyway, lol!! Think some of the puds had syns so I probably won't have any more tonight.

Im the same with my meals....I seem to go through phases of cooking the same few dishes - until I get bored and try something else lol. OH is quite fussy tho, so thats half the problem in my house - he doesnt eat chicken all of a sudden (I love it) and any curry dishes cant have cloves or cinammon in.....MEN
  • Cinnamon is considered an Unmanly Spice I think - I have a friend who can pick out cinnamon in a dish from a mile off. I think it's quite harmless myself.

I got the new Hairy Bikers Mums know best book from the Book People today, I really fancy making the chocolate mousse.

I used the SW website to work out the syns based on the ingredients used and....I make it over 50 syns per serving!!!!!

Is it going to be worth saving the best part of a weeks syns for it?!

    Evening all

    dizzyk - thanks hun! I'm pleased it's a loss so I'm happy!

Good day food wise, very busy at work so had little time to think about eating! I went to the gym after work too :D

    Green day:

B - honey nut shreddies (HEB) and skimmed milk (HEA) - rest in coffee
L - giant salad - lettuce, spinach, cuc, toms, pepper, sp onions, pasta, new pots, balsamic vinegar, HB egg
D - SW wedges, beans, quorn sausage, salad cream (2.5syns), RD ketchup (2syn)
Snacks - banana, Activa FF yog, Kellogs fibre + (HEB), green thunder cheese (HEA).
Drinks - water, NAS squash, fizzy water, coffee
    Exercise - 45mins at gym

    Total syns = 4.5

I have syns left (and haven't actually eaten my HEB yet!) but I'm stuffed at moment. May have some jelly and creme fraiche if I fancy it for 2syns.

Hope you all had good days

    Crumbs, that is frightening!
    What about this (from minimins)
    Fluffy Chocolate Mousse
    Serves: 6
Syns per serving: 1 Syn on both choices

    Ingredients:1 sachet gelatine
100ml/3 1/2 fl oz boiling water
3 sachets Cadbury’s Highlights Hot Chocolate drink
    4 level tbsp artificial sweetener
511g/1 lb 2 oz very low fat natural fromage frais
    2 egg whites

    Method:
    1. Sprinkle the gelatine onto the boiling water in a bowl. Stir to dissolve and set aside to cool. 2. Add the hot chocolate powder and sweetener to the fromage frais in a large bowl and stir well. Mix in the cooled gelatine. 3. Whisk the egg whites until they form stiff peaks, then fold into the gelatine mixture using a metal spoon. Chill in the refrigerator until set and serve with a selection of fresh fruit.

Note: The government advises that because of a very slight risk of salmonella, vulnerable people such as the elderly, babies and pregnant women should not eat raw eggs.
    Or this??
    Choc amaretto mousse

found it on the SW web site.....
This chocolatey pud is perfect for rounding off a Food Optimising meal
and it's just 4½ Syns on both choices!

    Serves: 4
Syns per serving: 4½ Syns on Green and Original

    ingredients
    57g/2oz plain chocolate
    2 tablespoons Amaretto liqueur
170g/6oz quark skimmed milk soft cheese
    3 eggs, separated
    1 tablespoon splenda
fresh mint leaves and raspberries to decorate

    method
    1. Place the chocolate and Amaretto liqueur in a small mixing bowl with 1 tablespoon of water, place over a pan of simmering water until the chocolate has melted. Leave to cool for about 5 minutes.
    2. In a separate bowl, beat together the quark, egg yolks and Canderel until smooth, then fold into the cooled chocolate and Amaretto mixture.
    3. Whisk the egg whites until they form soft peaks, then carefully fold into the chocolate mixture. Pour into 4 individual serving bowls and chill for 2 hours or until set.
    4. Serve decorated with fresh mint leaves and a few raspberries.
Please note: The government advises that because of a very slight risk of salmonella, vulnerable people such as the elderly, babies and pregnant woman should not eat raw eggs
