just need to sort out the rest of his meals now
.
This morning we walked to waitrose [about 3 miles each way] didn't really need anything was more for the walk.
Now the best part ... along the way there are loads of fruit trees, we were told when we moved here [14 years ago] that the fruit wasn't edible. Hubby thought he'd try one and they are lovely. They look like morello cherries but taste like plums [any ideas?]. So on the way back we picked some, there are red ones as well as yellow and deep purple. Hubby weighed what we'd picked and there was over 3lbs and masses more still on the trees so guess where we are going later :rotfl: just can't believe we've wasted 14 years of FREE FRUIT. Also the blackberries are out in my garden so picking them later. Going to have a go making the roulade to go with all the FREE fruit.
I WILL get him to lose weight :rotfl:
Can't find the page with the roulade recipe, can anyone either link me or re post the recipe pretty pleaseeeeeeeee?
Sorry if someone has answered this already but I'm only now catching up. Sounds to me like these are plums. The yellow ones are called Mirabelles or somethign like that. We went out nd picked loads yesterday to as my little one loves them (turned his nose up at a Farley's rusk when given 4 small plums at the same time...so does not take after his mother then, I would so have gobbled the biscuit first!)
Someone else mentioned sloe berries. THey are out and about already but according to my Mum (who had to forage her way through childhood it seems), they are no good until after the first frost, when the bitterness has gone and then according to her they are really good for making a really potent sloe gin!!!Make £2012 in 2012 member #88

We are off to Somerset for a week's holiday. I plan to stay on track while away because we are self-catering and I have found the nearest supermarket before leaving and got the postcode and will do a shop when we arrive. Boring I know but I want to be a target now more than I want a gain for a week.
Was thinking that when going off for days out - to use my HE b choice of bread or a wholemeal roll with lean tinned ham, mustard and tomato with banana, clementines, and savoury rice for packed lunches. Anyone got any other packed lunch on holiday ideas?
Thanks in advance for any replies.0 -

Afternoon all
I'll post my meals later as everything has been turned upside down by my WM breaking and the lettign agent arranging a company to come collect it and get it fixed. She, however, also arranged for them to take my hob away too  One ring had broken awhile back. I wish I'd had more notice, but I still have oven and microwave so should be ok. And I have SW friendly HM meals in freezer too.
Luckily I'd had breakfast beforehand, and have soup in fridge for lunch.
I'm off to Home Bargains to see what they have that is cheap and SW friendly

Back from Home Bargains.....they had:
Pasta N Sauce all at 49p
Mugshots all at 29p
Alpen Lights 99p per box of 5
Robinsons NAS at 59p
They also had Butterkist Light Toffee Popcorn. I seem to remember someone posting recently that normal Butterkist was 5.5ish syns per 28g so hopefully this should be lower.
Could someone please look it up online for me? It comes in 50g bags, 130 cals, 1.3g fat (0.7 of which saturates), 1g protein, 24.7g cards (of which sugars 11.8g), 19.9g fibre
Cheers
