Hi all...
I've not been back since I posted a quick question a couple of weeks ago. Anyway things are going wellI lost 4lbs in my first week & 2.5lbs this week. I'm pleased with how it's going so far :j
Hubby also joined with me mainly for moral support as he knows I really want to do this. He lost an amazing 6.5lbs in his first week & 3lbs this week! So he has got his first 1/2 a stone award & he also got slimmer of the week this week...We came home with a huge bag filled with lots of lovely fruit, veg, salad etc. To say he was made up would be an understatement :T
Here's hoping for another good week! Our 1st baby is due 29th December 2007! :rudolf:
I'm hopeful that this get's me out of cooking Christmas dinner!
Baby Ruby arrived after 55 hours of labour & an emergency c section on Christmas Day at 14.41 weighing 6lb 6oz...And yes I did get out of cooking Christmas dinner!!:rotfl:0 -
Afternoon all!
Well done to all you losers out there. I had WI last night and am rather perplexed!
OK, last week I was positively angelic (batting off fairy attacks left right and centre) and for all that effort I gained 0.5lbs
This week I had a really dodgy weekend (the fairies beat me hands down) but I was back on plan and virtually syn free for Mon, Tues, Weds and upto WI last night only to find that I gained 0.5lb....again....
To say I'm fed up is an understatement, I won't give up as it's simply not an option but I'm beginning to think I'm simply not meant to lose anymore. When Life Throws You Lemons Make Lemonade0 -

I'm hoping to go to my first ever SW class on Tuesday evening. I did WW years ago and lost 4 stone, but gradually I've put it back on along with an extra one!
Now this may interest you. I went to see my Doctor for an asthma check up and was moaning about my weight and she said that she could refer me to SW or WW. When I asked what she meant by 'refer' she said I could get 12 vouchers for 12 weeks free.
I filled in the form, she sent it off and I await the vouchers. I am amazed (I've put this on the Freebie board too). Perhaps it's a local thing, I live in Dorset.
I doubt that I will get the vouchers before Tuesday, but I want to make a start while I'm in the right frame of mind, so I hope they will let me use the vouchers in future weeks.
Moneysaving and weightloss, sounds good to me.
Has anyone else had experience of these free vouchers?
Hi and welcome.
My mom too had the vouchers and she used them on WW. Yes, she had to lose a certain amount to be eligable for another top up... she didn't so didn't get any more LOL (In the West Midlands)."People buy things they don't need, with money they don't have, to impress people they don't like" - Clive Hamilton on Consumerism.0 -
My original plan is all squiff :mad:
Got back from the bank later than expected via H&M so was starving as it was 2pm. Inbetween that OH and I had a quick drink .. mine was a bottle of beer - unsure how many syns as yet about 6 probably. Scoffed left over moussaka (realised last night when cooking it wasn't extra lean as a load of fat came out of it :eek:) so that I guestimate 4 syns for that... then another piece of bread - 3 plus the 2 from breakfast so I am at 15 already  and still ALL night to go. May have to flexi it or attempt to make up for it in the week.
My stomach also is soooo bloated and uncomfortable.. I look about 5 months pregnant. I feel a bit dispondant today like nothing is happening and I'll never lose the weight... hopefully this is just * week talking.
Today is not a good day.... on the up side my vast knowledge of Polish.. i.e. good, no good and yes managed to get the bank cards sorted. :rotfl:
winge over... thanks for reading :rotfl:"People buy things they don't need, with money they don't have, to impress people they don't like" - Clive Hamilton on Consumerism.0 -
becky_sleaf - That's brilliant! You must be SO pleased! Bet your hubby is glad he joined with you now - kinda frustrating how men lose weight easier than us eh.
lo-bush - I know exactly how you feel. I haven't lost any weight over the last few weeks despite being virtually syn free, and I have no idea why. Fingers crossed it will come off next week. I am also trying a new tactic as of today... putting what I eat into www.myfitnesspal.com to ensure that I eat at least 1200 calories on days I'm not exercising, and more when I do.
I say more when I do as I come across this thread today on the same site - www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/10589-for-those-confused-or-questioning-eating-your-exercise-calo. I've never really known whether to eat my exercise calories or not due to conflicting info, so I thought others who exercise may be interested in reading it too. As I don't usually eat my exercise cals apparently it may be hindering my weight loss as, in simple terms, it will take me under 1200 cals per day and therefore my body will hold onto my horrible fat.
Hmm...I know WW tell you not to eat your exercise points to lose weight at a faster rate but wondering, what does SW say about this?

Hey trixie,
If you've used all your syns for the day why not make a big batch of SW chips or wedges tonight? Don't know about anyone else, but makes me feel like Im cheating eating them! Might make myself some tonight as part of my dinner to eat while watching BB!

Awww LOhere - have a hug x x
A friend from group was going thru exactly the same over the last few weeks, last week she had yet another gain and in her own words 'hit rock bottom with it all' and was fed up with it as she really didnt know where she was going wrong (shes been a member for ages now) and has been treading water for a while losing and then gaining
So the plan was for this week to go back to basics. To get her books out and read them as she did as a new starter, to weigh and meisure her A & B choices and to really think about things........and she lost 1.5 this week
shes been getting complacent with the plan as shes been going so long, but boy was she happy last night with going back to her books again ! She had planned to sit in on the new member talk again too....maybe thats something you could do if you speak with your consultant?0 -

I've updated my meal plan for today. I adore tortillas so have decided to blow today's syn allowance on having 2 stuffed full of syn free veggie chilli, cheese and a small dollop of sour cream. I'm drooling at the thought of it :rotfl:.
When I get a snack attack later I will have my kellogs fibre plus bar. I've just boiled some new potatoes so I can always frylight saute them too if I get peckish.
I've been to Tesco for monthly shop and got some good bargains. The Activa Fat Free yogurts are 2 x 8 packs for £3 (£2.90 each!). I've not tried them but willing to give them a go at that price.
