Hello:wave:. Mind if I join you all? Joined on Monday after several years away from SW. Lots to lose and not much money, so need lots of cheap and cheerful recipies?

I have follwed the plan quite well all week, but feeling like I don't know what else to eat? Seems to be salad, baked pots and fruit and youghurt. Going to go shopping for some veg to make a soup.

Bit nervous now about Monday's weigh in, just in case I am doing something wrong?:o
    :D
  • I'm back off my hols & nearly 4lbs heavier - oops :o I won't say how did that happen  as I know fine well!! Two birthdays (with cakes) to contend with, lots of alcohol, chocolate etc etc. When I'm being good I'm angelic, when I'm being naughty ........... that's another story :rotfl:

Anyway, I've come back with a stinking cold but started back on SW yesterday. My WI is on Monday  so will try to lose at least a couple of those holiday lbs beforehand!!

I've made some lentil & veggie soup today & added some curry powder & ground ginger to add a bit of zing after reading consultant's soup recipes. Only problem is I've completely lost my sense of taste because of this pesky cold so can't taste a thing!! Very comforting to eat though!! :D

B - 28g honey nut shredded wheat (HEB), strawbs, banana, mullerlite
L - soup followed by pasta with 4 cheese triangles (HEA) melted into it, salmon, red onion & lots of black pepper followed by an apple
D - chilli & either baked spud or basmati rice followed by strawbs & zero yog

No syns today or yesterday, I think I'm eating enough & don't really feel like any treats anyway so it's not that I'm deliberately depriving myself.

Don't know if this has already been mentioned while I've been away, but the Co-op are selling 5 mullerlights for £1.50 atm.

    Hi Darnit:D

It takes a bit of getting used to at first especially if youve done SW before and now come back to find EE and eating red & green together

And Im the same....I go thru phases of eating the same stuff all the time (at the moment nearly every lunch im having a craze of asda spicy chicken with cous cous & salady stuff) but next week it will probably be jacket spud every day until I get bored with that :o

Just make sure that you're eating 1/3 superfree veggies or fruit with each meal and ul be fine for WI ;)

OOOOH thanku consultant 31.....I will def give this a go for my...ahem...problem bowels, its either that or dyno rod! :D :rotfl:x

That last bit made me laugh out loud!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

dizzy, I don't know if this has already been mentioned previously, I'm waaaay behind on this thread, but did you sort your toilet problems out?? :o Sorry for asking, but it's just that my Dad suffers from vertigo after having a brain aneurism & the medication he takes for that (& other things) causes him toilet problems as well. I wondered if your medication could be to blame?? He has to take co-danthramer, which I think is prescription-only, that's the only thing that works for him. Just thought I'd mention it, hope you don't mind.

according to the calculator for the whole jar it would be

56 Syns per package/portion on Extra Easy
56 Syns per package/portion on Green
    56Syns per package/portion on Original

so I guess youll have to now divide it up into how much your going to use per recipe ?

Hope it helps a bit :o
    thankyou.gif
How much would it be for a tablespoon hmmmmm. 1/4 jar works out about 14syns split 3 ways say 5syns?
Personally I'd have mushy pea curry but son doesn't like it and am fed up cooking 3 different meals so 5syns is worth it I suppose :p

rant2.gif just asked hubby if he wants curry for tea and he said, not mushy pea curry is it? Thats both of them grumble.gif I love it though :D

LOL no course I dont mind....Its been a bit of a saga :o
Me and my doc are still on 'bowel blasting mission' at the mo. My meds for my seizures Topiramate (that I now have following the nuero-surgery) did make me a bit..ahem..bunged up. But since getting this flipping hiatus hernia (thru all the throwing up from having vertigo ) the meds from that just completely wrecked my system.soooo now its a fine line between finding meds that stop the acids and let me eat....and also let me poo with out calling in the emergency poop troops:eek: Im on some magic movicol powders twice a day at the mo and reduced tummy tabs.....with a new one in the mix . I see the doc again tues to see how things are- Ive been to the loo ok-ish, but ive been in some pain again afer eating certain things :mad: JUST SHOOT ME :rotfl::rotfl:

    Good afternoon all -
well done on the losses ladies :T

here is yesterdays meal plan -that busy posting next weeks meal plan I forgot it :p-so it was:-
    • 28g oats (B)
    • 250ml semi(A)
    • banana
    • mixed berries
    • melon
    • salmon fillet
    • veg sti-fry
    • activia lemon (2.5)
    • 2 home made tortilla wraps @ (5.5)+milk from (A)
    • roast chicken
    • herby quark with garlic
    • lettuce
    • cucumber
    • tomato
    • carrots
    • peppers
    • gherkin
    • fibre plus bar (B)
so that was 2A+Bs and 13.5 syns

I used to make the wraps all the time (pre-SW) and they were paricularly tasty as I have had no bread or bread based products since I started SW nomnomnom.... much tastier than shop wraps-and certainly cheaper wink.gif -and no head ache, bloating or anything -which confirms that I have a problem with yeast and not flour :j

Anyway todays meal plan is :-
    • melon
    • smoked haddock
    • 1/4tsp oil (0.5) to roast:-
    • carrots
    • peppers
    • onions
    • nectarines
    • 250ml semi (A)
    • 1tsp camp (0.5)
    • coq au vin (1.5)
    • 198g steamed potatoes (B) wedged in :-
    • 1/4tsp oil (0.5)
    • carrots
    • broccoli
    • activia lemon (2.5)
    • 250ml semi (A)
    • 1tsp camp (0.5)
    • 1 fibre plus (B)
so thats 2A+Bs and 6 syns

Well hubby haas broken up now for 2 weeks ..so hopefully there will be lots of walking around golf courses and the like going on...although it will scupper my usually organised day times tongue.gif
Hope everyone is doing well and having a good day :D -off to make the wedges...mmmmmmm
