    aloha ladies! I hope you're all well on this sunny(ish) morning. i'm pleased to report a 1/2 lb loss and considering the fairy attack at the weekend, i had really thought i would put weight on!

    todays eats;
    brekkie - half a melon, plum
    lunch - jacket and tinned makerel, fruit salad
    dins - slow cooked chicken and veg

    i've never, ever had slimmer of the week before. :( i suppose it's incentive, but last time, i was losing 1-2lbs a week (then on occasion, putting it back on the next week) and there are a few people that consistently lose 3-4lbs a week who always, always get the loot! :)

    mumoftwo - i think that's really out of order. hope you're okay. maybe worth speaking to your consultant? xx

    Had my weigh in last night - another 5lbs off.

    First weigh in, 7lbs - second weigh in, 3 1/2lbs - third weigh in, 5lbs - so that's 1st 1.5lbs in three weeks. Not bad, I'm happy with that.

    Wootball, that is an amazing loss, well done you!!
  • Hello allIn our group Slimmer of the Week is the one who has lost the most, has stayed to class, and who also lost weight the week before.I wouldn't be at all happy about someone's daughter writing in the books, nor about being weighed without the weigher taking any notice of me (our weighing lady is fabulous, I love her ), and the scales certainly do show half pounds, I just wish they showed ounces - I wouldn't have to weigh my underwear and (sometimes) get changed before I go for WI then.I don't plan meals for the day or the week; except that as a singleton I do tend to cook enough basic lunch (meat free meatballs this week) to see me through a few days then vary the vegetables and carbs. Breakfast varies a bit but is usually fruit and yoghurt on work days. Supper is often salad with meaty/fishy stuff and hot potatoes added (I like my salad in a big bowl all chopped up, not laid out on a plate). Fridays are "using up what's left" days and I love my Fridays.I rarely use SW-specific recipes as I find them very fiddly and, at the end, not worth the effort! I use recipes I've always used but ignore the bits about frying off in olive oil! Seems to work.
    I think this answers most of the questions above except Qaaaaark, there's lots of hints re Quaaaaaark in the previous pages :)

    Don't take this personally - but if it comes to the point where you are weighing your clothes before meetings you're taking it a little too far in my opinion. When it becomes that meticulous, it's not sustainable. Weigh in whatever you're wearing, your usual daily attire. Pay no attention to your clothing, if you're losing weight it's coming off your body and will balance out regardless of the clothes you have got on.

    Again this week I feel like I've eaten like a pig, yet still had a very good loss. It's a weird feeling, I have Steak/Chicken with a creamy sauce with chips most nights, or a fry up, and it's still dropping off. I wasn't able to exercise at all this week either which is unlike me - I haven't done any weightlifting and would usually try and jog a small distance during the week (maybe 15-20k during the week, so not much at all) but this week I haven't done any. This left me feeling really fat before my weigh in last night so I was grinning like a Cheshire Cat afterwards!

    Personally I never plan anything - not even my next meal. I just open the cupboard and see what I've got - we always have brown rice and wholewheat pasta in as well as beans, canned tomatoes, tuna and chicken. I'm not fussed about enjoying food, I like to be in the stage where I'm only eating because I need to. At that stage I'm less likely to slip up. So dry brown rice/pasta is fine for me :)
