Is it shipley college youre at with the allotments?

OH's mum has one just by the 5 Rise locks and keeps me supplied with lovely rhubarb, green&Broad beans rasberries blackberries sprouts (didnt do well last year tho) and onions. Shes getting on a bit now tho and on about giving up as only a quarter of her plot now being used,
My OH wont take over cos he is sh*t scared of worms lol ....honest its like a real bad phobia:eek: Im hoping that maybe in a years time my balance system will be recovered enough for me to maybe go help her out a bit and we can grow lots more goodies :o

Oh Dizzy, i know i shouldn't laugh about your OHs phobia but when i read that i burst out laughing!! I just have a vision of a grown man screaming whilst the worm wriggles about on the floor!
All hail to the sale!!!!!!

    new beginnings...... new successes..

7.5 is worth it and I'm glad to know that they won't blow all my syns! They are so yummy and are lovely with a tomato-based SW-friendly curry!

Yes, am at Shipley College. I'd love my own allotment but the waiting lists are terrible, aren't they? As for your OH being terrified of worms, so am I lol. And snails, and slugs, and spiders etc. I once stabbed a friend in the leg with a little garden fork because he threw a worm at me, he knew never to do it again! I'd happily help your mum if ever she needed it, or help her make the most of her space (and I'd pay) The problem is that I'd have to take my dog. My little pooch goes everywhere with me (if I have a seizure, he refuses to leave my side and it's reassuring to see something or someone I recognise when I come round. Am sure you know that feeling :o

Tea is nearly done. I've got to have it in 2 stages because I can't fit it all on the same plate :D. Am so glad salad is free. I opted for the baked beans in my jacket spud, healthier than mayo I think :A
Yaaay, I finally conned a man into making a honest woman of me. Even more shocking is that I can put the words "Happily" and "Married" into the same sentence and not have life insurance on my mind when I say it ;-)

The fairies have come again and now they have blimmin broken my electric tin opener!

So I cant open my tins of toms for the chilli (or the beans) and couldnt have beans with my lunch

Today has been a complete write off :( Starving so ate whatever wasnt in a tin ( ie the last few ginger biscuits and a dime bar and a packet of pom bears) :(:(

There was nothing else to have, I might have to have the bean burger.... and god forbid the cheese and broccoli pasta & sauce GAK

Oh im so down about these bloody fairies i hate them I swear

Where in the members bit did you find the book?
I only paid 3.50 for mine as they were on offer at the club my friend goes to. Will have to get her to keep an eye out for another bargin, 7.50 is a bit out of my price range at the moment :o

Thanks for the 'welcome back' (also thanks to lo_bush) :D

The Food Directory was on offer earlier in the year because the new one was due out. Look for bargains in the price of these every March/April time.

Congratulations to everyone on the weight losses lately - they are truly amazing. Those who aren't losing as well as they'd like....keep at it, the pounds will come off if you follow the plans 100%, guaranteed!!! ;)
I let my mind wander and it never came back!

    Evening all

MrsM - thanks for recipe - I will attempt them on the weekend and report back.

I've had a good day food wise - took my work kids (I work with 16-25 year olds) to McD's for lunch and I stayed in the minibus and ate my salad :D, and I turned down a donut that a colleague was offering :j. And I went to the gym! I was so tired after work - my job is mentally and physically draining! - that I almost didn't go, but as I've not been for 3 weeks due to various reasons I had to start back. I thought if I just went and did half my normal workout it would be better than nowt, but I did the whole one :j. Absolutely starving now, just had bowl of HM SF celery soup to tide me over til I make dinner.

    Green day for me:

B - honey nut shreddies (HEB) with skimmed milk (HEA - rest for coffee in day)
L - huge salad with spinach, lettuce, radish, cuc, toms, sp onions, peppers, celery and potato salad (1.5 syns for LF mayo)
D - SW chips, quorn sausages, eggs fried in frylight and beans, RS ketchup (1syns), Salad cream (2.5syns)
Snacks - banana, nectarine, HM SF celery soup, cheese (HEA), grapes, skiny cow ice cream (4.5syns)
Drinks - water, NAS squash, coffee,
Exercise - 45 mins at gym

    Total syns = 9.5

Still got a HEB and some syns left so will update later if I munch anymore.
