Morning All
I really need to sort out getting the internet at home, i've missed gettin my fix of you guys over the weekend!!
I'm back to report on the weekends events - manged to keep to syns and here to report a loss of 1 and quarter lb, i was quite please with this after those horrible fairies invaded my house on Tuesday I thought I would have at least sts.
Someone asked about butternut squash on an earlier post (trying to catch up since friday so may be a little slow on the reply). I usually roast it and it makes a beautiful soup with spices like cumin and curry powder, if I make it into a soup I usually leave the skin on while it roasts and blend it all together. I also use it in the Morrocan lamb tagine that I make which if i do say so myself is gorgeous and only half a syn per person.SW started 28.06.10 - 4, -7.5, -1.5, -2.5, -1, -1and 1/4, -3, +3.5, -2.50 -
Morning Ladies, Congrats to you losers :j
Just back from my Physio.....I swear I used to find monday morning hangovers easier on the head than this:eek:
Im at the docs again too re the tummy tabs for the hernia this aft.....I think Im gonna have to have them changed or reduced with the....ahem...unpleasant side effects,It cant be any good on your insides having to take 'magic medicine' just to 'go' once every 2 or 3 days  So we shall see what they say anyway.
not thought of my meal plan today yet,
OH kindly brought some weetabix on his way back from golf yesterday so had brekkie of that with some rasberries and yog early on
will have a think when Ive had a nice cup of tea and post it in a bit0 -
Hi Ladies, I'm back from my holidays! We had a lovely week with 2 nights camping in the new forest followed by 5 nights staying with my AUnt and Uncle on the Isle of Wight. I haven't had WI yet, it's on Wednesday so I have a few days of damage limitation before I have to face the music!!! I'm fairly sure It'll be relatively ok though as we ate fairly healthily most of the time and did plenty of walking...no doubt there'll still be a small gain though!! I'll have a read back later and try to catch up with the news!!! Here's my plan for today:
Brekkie - Porridge (HEA&B) and banana
Snack - 2 plums
Lunch - something from morrisons, probably a salad and some cold meat.
Snack - nectarine
Tea - moussaka from the most recent SW magazine with jacket potato and salad. I hope it's nice, I'm not a big aubergine fan!!!0 -
Good morning all
Well done on the losses again :T and hello to the newbies
Its a drizzly overcast day here today -but since I don't need to set foot out the door -who cares
Hubby has gone on duty so won't be back until about 10am tomorrow..so I have done some carefull planning so I don't "boredom eat"-also I have worked out the best way to use up all odds n sods in the fridge ready for tomorrows re-stock -and by jove I think I have done it
-I love days where I get to clear the fridge
So todays Red meal plan is:-- 2 rashers bacon
- 2 eggs-scrimbled
- fresh tomato-roasted
- mango
- pineapple
- melon
- salmon fillet
- carrots
- peppers
- onions
- tomatoes
- 1/4tsp oil (0.5)
- 250ml semi (A)
- 7.5g nesquik (1.5)
- crunch corner (4)
- 227g jacket (B)
- cottage cheese
- lettuce
- cucumber
- pepper
- tomato
- carrot
- gherkin
- 250ml semi (A)
- 7.5g nesquik (1.5)
- activia lemon (2.5)
- 1 fibre plus (B)
- mango
- melon
- pineapple
-so that leaves me 5syns to play with if I need them -although with that little lot above ...I shouldn't need anything else *famous last words*
.
All the stuff withis stuff that wanted using up
. I have stuck the carrots, onions, peppers and tomatoes in the remoska and there will be too much just for lunch -so I will zap the leftovers and freeze for a quick sauce next time I make something like meatballs, ooh and being super organised I have taken out a potato to jacket later and the rest have been steamed, so thats some quick sauted potatoes to go on tomorrows dinner
Todays major plan is to get my backside upstairs and fettle our bedroom -I can see another sorting out of the clothes coming on... the new rules are:-- if its looking tatty-its going in the recycling bin
- if its shapeless or too big -I will pass it on on minimins
- if its too small its going to hang in the 2nd wardrobe -so I can try it on regularly so it fits
-I couldn't have got them that cheap if I went instore.
Flutterbyuk - I have stuck to it 100% -so far I have never gone over my syns, and I only allow myself to use 5-15 a day, if I don't use them then tough I don't get to save them for later, its only a personal thing as I know a lot of people count their syns weekly and it works for them -but for me I fear it would lead to "feast or famine" -don't know where I got my focuss from -I have "dieted" more times than I can count, but SW just seems to have clicked... I just aim to get to the end of each day having stuck to the plan, then the following morning I start all over again
I appretiate though that I have it easier than a lot as I don't have children/teenagers in the house -so no need to have "extras" in for them -its just me n hubby and he eats what I put in front of him and isn't one for snacking much either :j. Also I have the time to cook from scratch every day.... so really I have no excuse for not losing.
oooohh heck Im writting war n peace again..sorry ladies..
right -I will get off and get that fettling done..
Have a lovely day all and keep up the great work-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 - 2 rashers bacon

Food plan for today is -
B - Half a muller light yog (I knocked the rest over on my desk:mad:) two satsumas
L - Huge salad with some cold roast beef left over from last night
T - Beef curry (leftovers again) with loads of veg and rice ( may use syns for some poppadoms as I discovered the Sharwoods ones are only 2 each)
Syns / snacks 1.5 sugars (1.5) Cherries, Strawbs and blueberries and poppadoms later to make the syns up
BTW Muller lights were 4 for £1 at Sinsburys when I went this morning.
Mrs M wow how organised are you?!!? :T
I could take a leaf out of your book, think it would do me good to treat each day as a day rather than saving syns up and using them on a weekly basis as I do seem to have adopted a binge/purge mentality, although I am staying within syn limits its not a healthy way to do things. Its just annoying that things keep coming up, like weddings, birthdays, hen dos and the rest which is no good for my waistline or my pocket!! Anyway the next free week I have I will definitely have a go, if I get half of the losses you have been getting I would be over the moon!!
Dizzy I hope you manage to get the meds sorted and things get more regular for youSW started 28.06.10 - 4, -7.5, -1.5, -2.5, -1, -1and 1/4, -3, +3.5, -2.50 -
POW POW POW them fairies Lynz :A
Glad you posted this as I was just considering starting on the syns of the final packet of snack a jacksIll save those for later
Anyone know what the syn value is of a Sainsburys Mexican Bean burger?
One stray one in the freezer which I quite fancy with my salad for lunch but expect syns to be sky high???
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
