Anyone know what the syn value is of a Sainsburys Mexican Bean burger?

One stray one in the freezer which I quite fancy with my salad for lunch but expect syns to be sky high :( ???

All i could find were Sainsbury's Spicy Bean Quarter Pounders, chilled 113g each

Are these the ones?? Can check the syn calculator for you if you want?

 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

MrsM I might adopt the same rule you have regarding the syns.. use em or lose em unless there is a special event crops up that I can plan for.

I tend to some days have between 15-20 then other days less than 10 to make up for it. It may help me have a more consistent weight loss. I will start that as of today.

Btw the snickers OH bought back on Friday.. I gave it to him to eat last night so .... be gone with you you naughty fairies...I win this round :T:T

isn't it amazing how something you would normally consider a "healthy choice" can have so many syns ... Im with you -If I don't think Im going to enjoy every last fork full I won't have it :p -and who would exchange a dime bar for a bean burger :rotfl:. I had never liked dime bars -but before I started SW I discovered milka dimebar choc :p-nomnomnom -didn't help that they often had the 100g bars for 49c :o-that must account for about 1st of my excess ;)

Niandra- I used to be exactly the same on WW -it would go something along the lines of:-
    • thursday -weigh day -so a treat for doing well, or to cheer me up for gaining
    • Friday -ooh plenty of days left to lose so a few extras won't hurt
    • Saturday-well its the weekend isn't it -so a few more points won't matter -I can always cut back later
    • Sunday -same aas Saturday
    • Monday -panic -only a couple of days left to weighday -so cut right back
    • Tues and Wed -eat next to nothing in an attempt to register a loss
that was a weekly event for me -truth be told I often used to eat absolutely nothing from Mon until weigh day Thursday morning :o. Thats why this time around I have got my head straight -my body has put up with a lot -and I am really lucky that I have got away with it almost unscathed. I have never suffered with bad skin, swollen ankles, blood pressure or anything *touch wood*
oooh and it also helps being out here as I love my own company or just being with hubby -and so social events are very rare :j-no temptation :p......
Blackberry -for a moment I read your post as
Mrs M: every time I wear anything I've bought from la Redoute I have complaints, I'm sure you will be happy with their clothes
    :rotfl:
I have never used them before -I never imagined they would do bigger sizes :T-but I will be keeping an eye on there as they have some lovely things :D
Right I will go and see if lunch is ready (salmon and roast veg mm)and then I can get back to fettling the bedroom -half way there now :p and over half my clothes are in the "pass on" pile a quarter in the recycle bag and the few left -most are my next size down -hope my clothes arrive soon or I will be doing "wash n wear":rotfl:
    Have a great afternoon

I always 'use em or lose em' when it comes to syns

If Ive got a special do to go to I do a flexi day

I know it works for some people in my group to do without any syns at all through the week - then have a blow out at the weekend with all the saved syns.....but I really enjoy my kitkat and a couple of cubes of dairy milk in the evening (it keeps the fairies away if I know Ive got it to look forward to at 8ish !!!! ) and a splosh of 1 syn bisto on my veggies now and again ;)

    Does anyone know-

Asda rotisserie chicken appears to now be a whopping 4 syns per 100g drumsticks are 2 each:eek:

Im sure from my SW days before we used eat loads of morrisons cooked chicken.....it worked out cheaper a lot of the time to grab 2 and not put the cooker on lol - but I cant find them listed on the site to check.

Has something happened in group in my absence with advice given on eating cooked chicken??

Flutterbyuk - I have stuck to it 100% -so far I have never gone over my syns, and I only allow myself to use 5-15 a day, if I don't use them then tough I don't get to save them for later, its only a personal thing as I know a lot of people count their syns weekly and it works for them -but for me I fear it would lead to "feast or famine" -don't know where I got my focuss from -I have "dieted" more times than I can count, but SW just seems to have clicked... I just aim to get to the end of each day having stuck to the plan, then the following morning I start all over again ;)
I appretiate though that I have it easier than a lot as I don't have children/teenagers in the house -so no need to have "extras" in for them -its just me n hubby and he eats what I put in front of him and isn't one for snacking much either :j. Also I have the time to cook from scratch every day.... so really I have no excuse for not losing :p.

    Thanks for replying hun!

I think I may adopt your attitude of use it or lose it. I used to save up any syns left over, then have an off day and say 'oh I'll wipe out those saved syns' but in reality I consumed way more than the saved ones! It's just me in my flat so I have no temptation there. The temptations for me come through kids at work feeding me biscuits and chips, and having a social life that revolves around eating! :rotfl:I need to be brave and tell my friends that I am doing SW and that I would appreciate it if we went to more SW friendly places where I can have salad or pasts rather than pizza or burger! But not sure I'm that brave yet :o.

    Green day today:

B - honey nut shreddred wheat (HEB) with skimmed milk (HEA) - rest of allowance in coffee
L - salad with hard boiled egg and new potatoes in LF mayo (2.5syns), lentil pie slice (free as no cheese on it)
D - omlette with cheese (HEA+HEB), onions, garlic, peppers and new potatoes, runner beans, peas, RS ketchup (1syns), salad cream (1.5syns)
Drinks - coffee, water, NAS Squash
Snacks - tesco corn crisps (3.5syns), banana, nectarine, pickled onions, LF Creme Fraiche (1.5syns)

    Total syns - 10
