Yay I had a 2 pound weight loss, was my first week on sw so am well
pleased. Just hope I can keep it up!
  • well done losers and commiserations to the non-losers (I managed to gain half a pound too Yoemma, my friend said it was cos Ijust re-did my nail polish!) Mrs M I love you for your honesty, your beautifully laid out plates and because you make me laugh. I am so pleased you did the slidy thing. Last week I managed, without thinking, to flip myself to the floor to flea-comb the cat, then stood up again without thinking. It's more the improperly mended broken ankle that deters me from getting up. however, I then overstretched myself in Dunelm, did I tell you? I saw a beanbag chair and thought "Hmmmm I wonder how comfortable that would be" and plonked myself into it. Very comfortable thank you. Then I couldn't get out. I tried a lurch or two. Nope. Grabbed a nearby shelf to heave myself up and got scared I'd bring the whole thing down. In the end I glanced around to ensure no-one was watching, rolled onto my knees, and got up that way!:D:D:D
    :jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

    thank you Slimming World!

  • hi all
it has taken me the best part of this evening to catch up !

i had my WI tuesday and only lost 0.5 lb :(
i was gutted as i had been really good and only had about half the allowed syns for the week, and being my first week i thought i'd lose more.

i'm doing mostly green but have one more weigh in til my holiday so might try extra easy if i don't get a better result next week.

i like green as i don't eat a lot of meat and love cereal .

well done to all who have lost , and i am still lurking and getting some great tips so thank you all x

    Evening all,

I changed my plans for dinner, swapped the salad for carrots and had a spoonful of gravy on the chicken, so that used up all my syns for the day nicely.

Tomorrow we're going to Southampton, as usual we're having lunch at Nandos. Now instead of the usual food fest I go for I've had a look at their online menu and tried to work out what would be the best syns wise to have. I couldn't find anything on the slimming world website re syns and don't know how to work them out from the nutritional values that Nando's give online.

I was thinking of having the couscous salad with a chicken breast and two corn on the cob on the side, how many syns would I allow for that?

    Thanks all :)

I dont know how many syns are in this.

I usually go for the rice, 1/2 chicken all skin removed and corn no butter) . If I was to have this Id call it 2 (Although I tried the mucho peas last time, they have butter in then I call it 3)

The chicken breast and salad my sister reckons to be free, but I thought it was rather boring ( handful of bag of salad, er thats it)

    Right LADIES

I need advice. I am doing the smae thing I always do with "diets".

    Heres how it is.

My scales are broken. If I am to believe them I am skirting around the 9stone level . I look "bang on". Dont want to lose any further weight as might lose the curves and dont want to. Think I look "right now"

Struggling to gett my head around how to maintain, anyone know.

my sis said I can do 2 things:
2x HEA AND B with EE
    or
    just up the syns

I thought Id go with the latter as Im not a fan of bread or cheese and my K scales are knackd so I cant do weighing of eg cereal

However once the floodgates open I cant stop, the faries made me eat dutch waffles, half a packet of ginger biscuits - that on a green day where I ate:
    HEA1 milk in tea
HEA 2 Cappacino with skimmed milk
    HEB 1&2 4 alpenlites
    Banana yog, clementine
    Half punnet rasperry and yog
Large cc salad with loads of veg in
    loads of diet coke
    2xpacks of WW S&V hoops (3.5each)
JP with veggie chilli and salad. 2x taco shells (4)

I need to know how to syn count if Im having "more syns" not just open the door and let the fairies do what they want.

HELP!!! Im eating like a horse eeeeeeek
