Well done on you losses Nuninge and Creditcrunch. :j

First test today, possible take away or eating out, I so want to stay within my syns. My problem always has been, why pay for a dinner I can make at home? So I usually order something very calorific and huge, but I am determined to break that mindset even if that means ordering a boring potato with beans :D

    Morning all,

Just got my first tub of Quuuaaaaaaark!! Very exctied, but no idea where to start with it - any suggestions to ease me into it??

    Today's plan is EE:
Brek -Frosted wheats (heb) and a little bit of hea skim milk
2x ryvita with extra light laughing cow (other 1/2 heb and hea + 1.5 syns) with cucumber
Lunch - pasta, tuna, tbsp ex light mayo (0.5) green beans, cucumber, onion, tomato
Dinner - grilled chicken or lamb, rice and salad. probably some bread and aubergine dip - likely to be oily, so synned once i've researched it!
Big glass of red wine (8.0) ---> Eating out tonight, hence the oily dip and red wine. Letting myself off as I know that I will stick to the plan at home. I can't deny myself eating out with old friends, it's one of life's small luxuries!!

I love eating out but I make it a rule never to order something I can make at home (ie chicken and potatoes or spag bol!) :D

I struggle with ordering calorific things too, but have found that most restaurants have menus online now so I can choose and plan ahead to fit my meal in with the rest of my day. If in doubt I always go for salad or fish (sauce on the side) I find restaurant salads much niver than the bit of soggy old lettuce in my fridge!
Takeaway is not too bad - I think chinese is quite low syn and a chicken biryani from the indian is less than 10 syns.

    Morning All

*Shuffles feet and hangs head in shame

Been awol for a few days, had Mon & tue off work and don't have access to net at home. Has a good weekend and monday all within syn limits. Then Tuesday was awful, my OH failed his driving test and to try and cheer him up we had a 'flexi day' but this turned into a total binge day!! Put it this way - if cream, streaky bacon, garlic bread, JD & coke and sweets were superspeed food i'd be laughing, unfortunately they are not :o

MY WI was Monday and had lost 1lb, was a bit disappointed as this is my lowest loss since starting this (i ususally average 3lb), looking back at my food diary last week and comparing to good loss weeks I think it was because I haven't been eating enough. I reverted back to calorie counting of sorts and not wanting to eat carbs because of their high calorie value. All wrong i know but it kind of explains why I felt the need for a 'sod it' day yesterday.

Anyway hopefully this is all out of my system now and I have really good intentions for the rest of the week, I know next WI will probably show a gain but hopefully I can get back into the swing of things, I just need to keep telling myself not to count calories and follow the plan and it WILL work.

Well done to all of you who have had losses and managed to fight off the fairies ;) I will post my food plan in a min to help motivate me.

    Hello ladies...

Well, have just done a really bad thing, I've weighed myself! I haven't succumbed to the fairies' charms, I haven't had a drink for nearly a fortnight, I've been so good my halo is gleaming yet I apparently weigh MORE than I did last week, even with my clothes off. Admittedly, I've just had my breakfast which was porridge and a cup of coffee but I'm gutted that my weight is more than it was.

I have been eating much more food than I ever have done in my life. OH says my weight will probably drop during the day but I'm not going back on the scales. I really wanted to have lost a lot of weight but it seems it's not to be! Going to take me longer than I thought to get into my dress.

    Breakfast today- Porridge
    Lunch- Don't know yet.
    Tea- SW chilli.

Oh well, onwards and upwards, or downwards, whichever's better!

Good luck with those pesky fairies ladies! xx

And Dizzy, glad you had a good day yesterday!
Yaaay, I finally conned a man into making a honest woman of me. Even more shocking is that I can put the words "Happily" and "Married" into the same sentence and not have life insurance on my mind when I say it ;-)
