    I am going to try and EE day today, could someone take a look and let me know if its ok please?

    Breakfast - yogurt and banana

    lunch - beefburgers (no roll) with tomato & basil relish (h/m), SW chips and salad

    dinner - chicken breast wrapped in bacon with cheese (1/2 HEa), new potatoes and stir fry veg

    snacks -3 crispbreads (1/2 HEb), 1 alpen light (1/2 HEb) 2 cheese triangles (1/2 HEa), apple, satsuma, pear, pineapple, melon & grapes

    Syns - cheesecake (3) & flake (6.5)

    Looks good to me as long as you remember 30% of what you eat today needs to be superfree (veg & fruit that are free on both) More importantly to me.. it sounds yummy.

    How do you make your tomato & basil relish... I have a basil plant that needs using.

    Thanks Sian & Trixie,

    I dont get the munchies this early unless im doing loads of running about, ive only had the banana so far and dont feel hungry at all, my worst time is in the evening and as i mentioned before i simply cannot sleep if i go to bed hungry.

    Trixie, ive only made it once so will have to find the recipe (before lunch too!) but i think it was just chopped fresh tomatoes (skinned) onion, basil (chopped or dried) and salt and pepper. I dont know if it is a proper relish but it was very nice, and simple to make too

    There is definately 1/3 of my total worth of superfree in todays menu, so no worries there

  • Think I may just be getting the hang of this sw stuff, have not touched the cheese in the fridge or even had the urge to. Whoever mentioned the lightbulb moment...well I think I may have had mine.

    Went shopping today and nothing 'naughty' went in my trolley, all sw friendly.

    Today I'm having a EE day:

    B= 28g cheerios (5), 250ml semi skimmed (HEA), muller
    L= Asda gfy pasta arriabbata, cucmber, lettuce, onion
    D= Egg, chip and pepper bake, think I may throw a few mushrooms and onions in there too.
    Snacks= Seafood sticks, chicken tikka pieces, apples, may have some humous (HEB) on 3 crackerbread (3) to use up my B choice.

    Total syns = 8

    Bought the sw mag too, there is a lady in there who is my height and had a similar starting weight so going to stick her pictures to my cupboard door for when I'm having a bad day :o

    Happy Birthday Dizzy :-) A little poem I just found for you online

    A Birthday Workout

    Hike across green Ireland;
    Bike the USA;
    Backpack through New Zealand,
    But don’t call it a day…

    Do yoga in lovely Paris;
    Jump rope in Katmandu;
    Avoid Italian pasta,
    (Well, maybe taste, but don’t you chew!)

    Climb atop Mt. Everest;
    Do aerobics on China’s Wall;
    Lift weights on Mexican Beaches;
    And honey, that’s not all…

    Shake your booty with native dances
    In Fiji and Bora Bora;
    Move your body and exercise
    Like you’ve never done before.

    Okay; that’s good; you’re finished;
    Now you can take a break;
    You’ve finally burned enough calories
    To have your birthday cake!
    Yaaay, I finally conned a man into making a honest woman of me. Even more shocking is that I can put the words "Happily" and "Married" into the same sentence and not have life insurance on my mind when I say it ;-)

    Thanks Shazbo.. I'll try that this week - if my plant survives, just given it a drink as its wilting in this heat.

    I find EE as it name suggests easier as I don't need to think as much about what I am going to eat as if I want meat I have it, if I want carbs I have them (not naughty bread though) and just keep it v v low fat.

    It still feels all wrong though even now weeks down the line and I know it works. I think it is those naughty fairies whispering in my ear. I'll have to get my flower fairy godmother in a jar down off the shelf so she can chase the naughty ones away :D

    Im beginning to get my head around it too, thanks to the meal plans on here, and i think thats what im going to try and do while im away (as best i can) and i will just have to put my gain behind me (which is probably where it actually is) and hope for the best when we get back

    Question for you all, quite a few of you mention seafood sticks. I have looked at them a few times in the supermarket but when I read the ingredients I put them back; crab flavour, starch etc. What do they taste like? Are they good? I do like fish. And how do you eat them, I mean do you chop them up in a salad or just much them as they are?

    they are only £1 for 16 sticks, if they are really good I won't mind getting them.

    I feel like that, on WW I was constantly thinking about points, how many I had left and what I could have that fitted in with the family. Now I feel much more relaxed and feel I can do it.

    Morning all :wave:

    Sad to say I have got MAJOR pc problems here, the appliance fairies are striking again. To be fair Ive been putting off buying one but I know I no longer can, so have got OH to make some calls today to get us a new one.

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY DIZZY! :D Hope you have a wonderful day doll, you deserve it!

    NESSIE - sorry to hear about your loss, but on the SW loss, well done :D

    Gals on EE ,looks like you have it sorted there :D

    Ms Mcawber :wave: Hate to say this but dont make the mistake with clothes shopping I did, bought three absolutely amazing frocks about 6 weeks ago, now all too big. Its great and that but Ive got 200 quids worth of frocks there that im now going to have to have taken in :eek: extra expense! mind you shoes or something sparkly will always fit! :D Your loss is so amazing by the way, you must be over the moon!

    OK: advise me wise ladies

    Yesterday it got more synful as I proceeded to eat 3 - YES 3- mini toffee crisp ( only 99 cals each :o)

    Woke up this morning and felt very ill
    Ate alpen lite and made tea
    Ate it then was violently sick
    went back to bed and just got up at 12.30

    Have eaten banana/ mandarin/ yoghurt
    Alpen lite
    2 ginger biscuits to try to remove the sickie feeling
    Have got some ainsley CC ( 1/2syn wholepack) cooling for salad for lunch

    Dinner will be mexican combo of rice, chicken, taco shells (2) fromage frais and a massive salad and HM coleslaw and mexican veg ( sauce made of tinned toms, onions peppers, mush, courgette, with paprika chiptle and chilli powder)

    Does anyone have a recipe for a tomato based dressing. I bought this bean salad from waitrose the other day and it was mixed beans in a tomato dressing. Have got loads of mixed beans in the cupboard (black, pintos, cannelini, etc) and thought I could make this myself as it would be a lotcheaper than buying and probably verging towards syn free.??

    Ps the curry I made last night was really disgusting!
    :beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
    Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
    So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:

    post_old.gif Today, 9:01 PM I make this all the time and I love it!

    Mix Smash or syn free powdered potato with a beaten egg and some mixed herbs.
    Add enough water to form a stiff "dough".

    Press into a pizza shape using your palms. ( I do this on a piece of cling film on top of a chopping board for ease of transporting)

    Spray a baking tray with fry-light and place over the pizza base.

    Tip over the whole thing so the pizza base is laid on the baking tray. Remove the cling film and bake in hot oven until slightly brown.

    Use this time to gather your ingredients for the topping.

    I use:-

    Passata mixed with tomato puree (small syn value) for the "tomato sauce", and spread in onto the hot base.

    I top mine with sliced mushrooms, peppers and red onion 'cos these are my favorite!

    Sprinkle with cheese (healthy B?) and bake until bubbling and golden.

    Tuck in and dont let non SW peeps pinch it!

    I always have the intention of saving some until cold and seeing if I can eat it as a snack, lunch box dinner or picnic but never manage to save any!

    Sorry there are no measurements as I just sort of guess.

    Gillian (SW pizza's no.1 fan)

    thanks for this!!

    nessie, so sorry to hear about your guinea pig. :(

    and happy birthday dizzy! :bdaycake::bdaycake::bdaycake:
