did you make the ones from smash or the ones from chick peas? the smash ones came from Lynz it was the chickpea ones from niandra.....im waiting to try them out too just bought some stuff today. what is marigold stock??
Oh it was the ones from Lynz then, the smash ones? Marigold stock comes as powder in a tub,so it's like ready-crumbled vegetable oxo cubes. Good for singletons as you can just add as much as you needDelia likes it, look: http://www.deliaonline.com/ingredients/ingredients-a-z/ingredients-m-o/Marigold-Swiss-vegetable-bouillon-powder.html

I use my slow cooker for loads of things (in fact, when my original one broke I got another from freecycle
), more in the winter. I can cook something onSunday and it will do me for the week for lunches for work. Curry dishes are good. A whole chicken in the slow cooker is ideal for us slimmers as the skin doesn't crisp so you aren't tempted to eat it! Last week I found some braising steak lurking at the back of the freezer, defrosted it in the slow cooker whilst I was out, then microfried some onions and mushrooms and tossed them in and left it for a few hours (also slurp of red wine and 2 oxo cubes if I remember rightly, and some fresh herbs) and it was wonderful. In winter I might make a lamb or beef casserole, then when it's time to put [STRIKE]dumplings [/STRIKE] other stuff on I spoon out some of the juices and do the dumplings in the microwave as and when they are needed. Now I wish I hadn't mentioned [STRIKE]dumplings[/STRIKE] them. Can we cross stuff out on here? (answer: yes)
I personally wouldn't use it for making soups, you can make them in 10 mins in the microwave (I don't have a regular stove/oven just my darling microwave, a slow cooker and a halogen stove):jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

I'm back. Another time I use the slow cooker is if I'm having people round. You can cook chilli in the slow cooker then lay out the makings of burritos or tacos, take the lid off the chilli and it stays warm whilst people help themselves and come back for more!
It's quite nice sitting here talking to myself, I can say what I like really:):)
