Hi Take it Easy and thanks for replying.

My problem is I eat when I am bored or sad or if I'm having a bad day I will just sit and eat what I can get my hands on -whilst trying to teach my 4 year old good eating habits!!!.

Hi Diane and welcome. The beauty with this 'diet' is that it's not restrictive so if you feel you want to eat you can (just make sure it's free food). It's marvelous.. I have found over the pas couple of weeks looking back at my notebook that the weeks I eat more are my biggest weight loss weeks! :T

I have started keeping 'free' snacks in the fridge for my 'i'm bored therefore need to eat' moments.. like yesterday!

My snacks are a tub of rice cooked with veggies and a stockcube/bovril to give it some flavour. Rolls of ham sometimes filled with flavoured quark & cuc. Pasta salads, couscous made up with stock again for some flavour and chopped up cuc, tom in it. Then the staple.. yoghurts (no mullers for me, can't get them :() fruit, veggies with SW free dips. For the sweet moments... quark mixed with choc options/lemon curd/jam/yogurt and fruit (small amount of syns here tho) These you can munch on guilt free... it usually only takes a couple of gob fulls to fulfil my snack need :D... unless I'm really starving then I just have my meal earlier (which are always huge) :)

Good luck...you can do it, there is always someone around here to talk to xx

Hi everyone I just usually lurk not post, however I joined SW about 4 weeks ago and I've already lost my motivation.

My first week I stayed the same as I couldn't get my head around the plan but years of eating junk might do that. The second week I genuinely couldn't go to meeting but since then as I haven't followed the plan I haven't gone back - daft I know.

I haven't been well the last few months as I suffer with bouts of depression which coupled with constant tiredness and no motivation doesn't help me. I know that sticking with it will really help but I'm finding it hard. Has anyone else been in the same position as me but have now got in the swing of the plan and are losing weight and feeling better.

Also I have a lot of weight to lose - about 5/6 stone - and sometimes feel I'm wasting my time and just resign myself to being overweight as I have tried so many times and failed.

Any inspirational and motivational tips most welcome and a kick up the bum as well :D

good luck Diane, everyone here is so supportive! x

Good morning, that was day 1 over with. I feel I ate loads, which is what I need, having dieted for so long on and off, I hate feeling hungry.

this is what I had yesterday (it is lots compared to some of you but I have 10st to lose)

Breakfast: 0% fat Greek yoghurt with strawberries

Lunch: Quinoa with stir fried chicken, onion, petit pois, cauliflower and some aduki beans and chinese spice mix (from Aldi)

Tea: h/m meatballs in a tomato sauce, potatoes, carrots and cauliflower

HEa: 4 light laughing cow triangles
    HEb: 4 Ryvita original

snacks: banana (after the gym), plums, tomato, mini choc twister icecream (2syns), french fries (4.5syns), options hot choc (2syns), 1 seg of choc orange (2.5syns), rapeseed oil for stir frying: 2 syns

Exercise: 30min on treadmill at the gym, 15 min equipment (250cal burned)

When I see it all written down like that, it seems lots and lots. What do you think?

I have just been to Tesco and bought some wholewheat cous cous and lots more fruit, I love fruit. And I bought myself a cute little notebook for writing everything down.

Have a great day everyone :j

The thing about SW according to the consultant at our group is....the more you eat (especially superfree fruit/veggies)the better the plan works....so go for it :D you should never ever be hungry on this plan, if you are hungy then grab something thats free, some cous cous salad or whatever else takes your fancy.....theres lots of lovely tips and yummy recipes that people post on here :) x p.s just looked at ypur menu why dont u save some syns and use frylight to cook with???;)
