TODAY IS THE FIRST DAY OF THE REST OF MY LIFE. Lynz, is that motivated enough for you :-)

    Yes it is my love!

My sister has the curry heaven book and she says its fantastic. Im going to get it off her for my birthday.

I started SW Easter bank holiday the same weight as you. A crafty WI just now puts me at 9 and a quarter stones, and I have not stuck to it today and need a wee ( TMI :D)

Is that inspirational or what!?!? :D

*polishes halo with slightly melty dime bar wrapper*
Time for bed methinks. Has been a busy day today and going to make sure I'm even busier tomorrow so I don't sit grazing.

Graze on fruit, muller, couscous salad, it will fall off! thats my advice anyway !
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

Hi Take it Easy and thanks for replying.

I am on medication just recently changed in the last couple of weeks, however I have always had a problem with my weight for years even when I wasn't on meds. My problem is I eat when I am bored or sad or if I'm having a bad day I will just sit and eat what I can get my hands on -whilst trying to teach my 4 year old good eating habits!!!. I just feel like I'm stuck in a rut and one bad day I am off the wagon. Anyway, as hubby said, tomorrow is a new day and I try will knuckle down and stick with it. Wish me luck!!!!!

You will get bucketloads of support on here!

There will always be someone ( even if its just me lol) to vent/moan/whinge/talk to :D

hi all - back for my weekly confessional :D

Anyway - WI yesterday and I lost 3lbs - so pretty chuffed. Makes up for last week's gain.

Star week this week and I am RAVENOUS. Totally ignored SW today and ate biscuit upon gluten free biscuit:(. SO tomorrow must get back in the saddle.

AM pretty impressed with how motivated everyone is at the moment - you are putting me all to shame(!) - but will choose to be inspired by you all:)

Aw thanks Dizzy. I think you're lovely too. Was nice to be made welcome, especially somewhere where I didn't stand a chance of knowing anyone. Isn't our consultant a good laugh?? And congrats on the 2lb weight loss too.

Well first weigh in was exactly as I expected...awful! It appears my scales at home are quite accurate so I currently weigh an astonishing 11 stone 6. Like others that are on medication for depression, I put a lot of weight on. I stopped taking mine about 2 months ago and all is OK except for the weight. I have gained almost 3 stone in a year. Admittedly my eating habits before the anti depressants was appalling though, I was basically starving myself. Just need to lose about 3 stone by eating healthily. That's why I think it's going to be hard work. I could do it if I was still starving myself but I have come to realise that it just isn't the right thing to do. I may not lose 3 stone but it isn't going to stop me from trying!

Does anyone have the curry heaven book? I think it was mentioned a couple of pages ago by Dizzy (does that mean you have it Dizzy?) I'm going to need a recipe for next week. I'll be buying the book next week, couldn't get it this week because I was flat broke. OH will be wanting curry at some point next week. A syn free one would be fab :-)

Time for bed methinks. Has been a busy day today and going to make sure I'm even busier tomorrow so I don't sit grazing.

PS, I really am not touching drink again. Too many sins, I'd get through too many in one night!

TODAY IS THE FIRST DAY OF THE REST OF MY LIFE. Lynz, is that motivated enough for you :-)

Ive got the big hardback curry feast (not sure u can get this now.....but i will happily bring it along next week so you can take it home and copy whatever you like)

Im still on depression meds.....and a whole host of other things that that work on the brain to stop me having a seizuire so I know where you're at with the effects of them but dont you ever say you cant lose the weight lady:naughty: cos you can and you will! 3 stone may seem like a massive amount (thats what ive got left to lose) but I keep telling myself this Kath, even you cant possibly eat an elephant in one go!...you have to do it in small chunks...pound by pound ;)its not a diet you've just started.....its just a new way of eating-one that you will continue forever now (with a few tweaks when you get to goal) You've found a little 'family' to get support from with it now. As your earlier post said- the first day of the rest of your life :T xx

Phew - leave this thread alone for a few days and it takes ages to catch up again! I have been reading all the posts and going 'oh, I must reply to that one!' loads of times, now they are all miles away and I can't remember what I was going to say.

Anyway, still love this thread and find it really supportive and inspirational, especially those of you struggling with illness and still having the motivation to do this.

i LOVE Jilly and have read all of them many times but recently treated myself to Score Pandora and Wicked 2nd hand for a penny off amazon and have loved re reading them
cant wait for her next one - should be any time as its been 4 years !!!

Me too... good for an easy read. I read them years ago then lost all the books so rebought them from amazon at 1p too, so now I have all of them again. There is a new one on pre-order that I can't wait to get. I've nearly finished Rivals at the mo.
